Here is where we post our official lists and update our progress.

Special thanks to the members who regularly stop by at the Suggestions Thread and share their input. It definitely helped me a lot when I put together the monthly categories. Thanks, guys.

1.February: Read a book which title starts with “F”.

2. Birthday: Read a book from a February B-day celebrant’s GR bookshelf whose “day” falls on the same “day” as yours. If no one has the exact same day, then go for the closest date. (http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/2...)

3. Geography: Read a book whose author, setting or character is from Brazil.

4. Second Month Read a book that is second in a series, or has a two-word title.

5. Second Chances Read a book by an author you have given up, or a book whose plot involves a 'second chance' storyline (Ex. divorced/separated couple coming book together, etc).

6. Shortest Month Read a novella, or an anthology (a book with several novellas).

7. Valentine's Day Read a book with a predominantly red cover, has a Valentine theme title or cover, or has the word (kiss, love, heart) as part of the title.

8. Black History Month: Read a book written by an African-American or has an African-American as one of its main characters

9. National Laugh-Friendly Month Read a 'funny' book, or a book written by a comedian or a comic.

10. Reader's Choice

I had to do a last minute change to my list, since I couldn't get Sex Love and Vampires from the library in time, and Say You're One Of Them was too painful and dark to see through. So I am substituting both categories with Cupid by Julius Lester. It has a red cover, and is written by an African American. :)

OK, so I didn't finish Atonement. I had a really hard time getting into it. He lost me when he went on for half a page about the history of the vase that one of the characters was putting flowers into. Details that are not relevant to the story and slow it down are annoying. He's a really good author, and it does seem like a good story, just tedious at times. I am going to try to finish it in March, since it got picked again in a 'Pick It For Me' challenge. I read lots of other books not on my list, though! That's got to count for something, right?
