KMM Fever series - narrator question

So, it's a simple case of the author listening to her fans. I had a jolt when I started Dreamfever (I was listening to one after the other like you) but by the time I listened to Shadowfever, I thought Ross and Gigante were the perfect pair.
And, I don't know this for sure, but I'm guessing if Gigante did the male roles, he needed a female partner since he's not the perfect choice for a female role (and the majority of the narration is Mac). I think they were trying to play to all the strengths. I've heard it asked before why Joyce Bean didn't continue with the female roles (and I don't know) but I would assume contracts and such were a determining factor.
Anywho, does anyone know why the narrators changed in book 4? Does anyone know how the 2 narrators came to be? I was thinking that maybe the powers that be wanted Natalie Ross but didn't think much of her male voices or something and that's why they got Phil Gigante (I know he's narrated some of KMM's Highlander books). I had been really enjoying Joyce Bean's narration however and I thought her male voices and accents were great. Does anyone know why she didn't get the gig for the last 2 books?
Curiously yours!
