Just finished Austenland by Shannon Hale -- a fun, quick read! I really liked it.

Peace Like a River by Leif Enger -- it's fantastic. Lovers of language will love it; the writing is both lyrical and readable.
The most recent books I have finnished are The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand, Catch-22 by Joesph Hellar, and Dr. Jykell and Mr. Hyde by Rober Louis Stevenson.
The last books I finished were Harvesting the Heart by Jodi Picoult and Sisters by Danielle Steel. I'm hoping to finish Eclipse tonight.
I liked Eclispe much better then Twilight. Eclispe left me hanging and I can't wait to read Breaking Dawn to find out what happens next.
I just finnised The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco, really interesting and thought provoking book
I just finished The Gypsy Morph by Terry Brooks. If you are a fan of his, you'll love it! Heading on to First Among Sequels (Thursday Next) by Jasper Fforde. It's got my attention quicker than I thought.. if only there were more hours in the day.. sigh
I have recently finnished The Ambassadors by Henry James. He is a difficult writer to grasp, and there are parts of the book I do not completely understand, but I think he is still a compelling writer with a lot of depth, and I enjoyed his works. It is a good story and I have glimpses of understanding.
Yes, it is a book that takes concentration, or a lot could be missed. It is not the kind of book you want to read during commerical breaks while watching TV
I finished Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. It was really good, I loved it. I also just read Children of the Mind by Orson Scott Card. It was a bit disappointing, usually he's pretty good.
Just finished JANE EYRE....I highly recommend it. Very easy to read classic!
So far I really like Jane Eyre! I can't wait to discuss it with you!
I just finished Dragonforge by James Maxey. I really enjoyed it.

Hello, Just finished NEW MOON, and THE STUPIDIST ANGEL. Now I am into THE STAND and THE HOUSE ON MANGO STREET.I am old on GRs but new to this group:)
It is a short and quick read. And pretty good too.
Logan, I have read the Ender Series but not the Shadow Series. I loved Ender's Game, Speaker for the Dead, and Xenocide, but I lost interest with Children of the Mind. It was really slow, especially the first half.
But Orson Scott Card is still one of my favorite authors. Most of his books are really good.
Yesterday I finally finished DREAMLAND by Kevin Baker. Liked the book although it wasn't as good as the first part of the triology, PARADISE ALLEY
Hello, new to the group. I have just finished David McCullough's Truman, all 992 pages! It really was an interesting read and great to understand about someone I had not been that curious.
I just finished Forensic Nurse. Load of rubbish. Badly written too.
I just finished Songs for the Missing by Stewart O'Nan. Really sad but good.

I just finished Fast Track by Fern Michaels and going head right into Collateral Damage again by Fern Michaels. It's another sisterhood series.

I just read Brother Odd and did not like it as much as the other two.The story was just weird in that one.
I just finished Stuff White People Like. It was ok. Some parts were funnier than others.
While waiting for my electricity to come back on last week (6 days), one of the books I read by flashlight was The Yellow-Lighted Bookshop by Lewis Buzbee, a nonfiction title that was a fascinating memoir of Buzbee's years of working in the bookselling business, along with all sorts of interesting information and tidbits on books, printing, and all things books.
Just finished A Three Dog Life, a Memoir. It was a quick read, sweet, and a little sad, but very honest. I would def. recommend it!
Just finished Annie May's Black Book. Rubbish. Not enjoyable chicklit fluffy rubbish as I'd expected, just rubbish.

Emilee,I loved Water for Elephants. It was excellent. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has not yet read it.
Finishing up Nursery Crimes.I really enjoyed this cozy mystery.I have never read her before and am glad i picked up the rest of the series while i was at the library so i have quite a few weeks of reading here.
Beth, Some ppl loved it, myself, it was ok as far as a book is concerned. I never thought it was a Terrific book. You would need to read it Beth to make up ur mind hun xx

Finished "The Prey" by Allison Brennan. Good read, plan on reading the next two in this trilogy.
Finished Hogfather by Terry Pratchett. Always enjoyable to enter the Discworld universe, but not one of the best.
I just finished reading Twilight and now I'm reading The Last Chinese Chef.

I really like Mort - I like the books about Death a lot.I need to read some more Discworld novels - I haven't read that many unfortunately.
