GROUP MAP

New York City - have moved back from the CT location I was at when I began the club (I think I was still there) - map is very interesting - focused mostly on English speaking countries - makes sense - no Chinese or Russians..................
There are both Russians and Chinese but they have not been added yet. Thanks Jimmy and Kjsmulvihill.

Az Bob......please review the various threads that are specific to historic times, countries, events, etc. and join in those discussion that relate to the book(s) you are reading. Or visit "My Books and I" thread and post there.

Robert, as Jill suggested all folders are alphabetized so things are easy to find.
My suggestion would be to start with the folder My Books and I:
Here is a link to What is Everybody Reading Now
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...
And here is a link where you can discuss recently acquired books:
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/4...
But as Jill suggested - look for your interest areas where each thread will be devoted to a specific topic or genre.
It should be obvious that your post was not in the right spot; so I hope my helpful links get you started on the right foot.
If you need help, just send a PM to one of the moderators and we will steer you in the right direction.

Robert-you have two options to find the book discussions:
1. Go to our main page (http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/8115) and scroll down and you will see all the book discussion.
2. On top of that main page is "Currently Reading" and you can clink the link under "Discussion" to go to that thread.
I hope this helps!
So if you will tell me generally where you are or precisely where you are; that would be helpful and then I can put a pin in for you. I am just starting this project so if I do not even have a generalized location for you I will post it here on this thread. And you can either give me your location here or in a PM - general is OK too.
We are all for privacy.

PS: Let us say you live in Bangor, Maine - then I can put a pin there or NYC or San Francisco, or whatever city, town, place you live in - you can be as precise or as general as you want. But if you just say a state, I won't know where to put the pin; so be a little bit more specific than that. It is up to you.
This will also not be uploaded and searchable on google. It will be available to group members and is considered on google maps to be unlisted.
This is the link so you can see it as I put the pins in: (You will note that we have just started putting the pins in)

a) This is really lots of fun because I am personally getting a geography lesson out of this.
b) I am doing this starting with newest members first because then I will be able to make sure that I include everyone; I will work back that way.
Note: If you do not hear from us below; we have a general impression of where you are located.
