What do you guys think of Torment so far?
Torment (Fallen, #2) by Lauren Kate
I thought it started out great with the truce, but I kind of felt like I was waiting for Arriane to come back in the beginning.

Ashley | 1 comments Honestly, I haven't been able to finish it yet. I will say that the beginning was great with the truce as well. Hopefully it can keep my interest so I will finish it soon.

I just heard Disney bought the rights to the Fallen series. That's great news (if it was 2001 and this was the Princess Diaries). To be honest, I hate recent Disney movies now that I'm older, but hopefully someone will make it a great movie. Maybe it will even be better than the books. What do you guys think?

dude, im hoping that its gonna be awesome! I hope that they get actual good actors/actresses, maybe like people that havent been discovered yet, because if they hire current disney stars, i doubt that ill go see it.

If they do manage to get decent actors instead of the crop of Disney starlets they harvest from, I might actually consider watching it.

Actually, now that I think about it, I'm probably going to watch it no matter what. That way, I can laugh about how horrible the movie version is or even be amazed at how good it is. It could go I either way. I already have kind of low standards for this project so it shouldn't be so hard to achieve the latter.

Ha! I agree with you. I low standards for all books to TV or Film. I know it is hard to but every word of the book in. However, sometime I think the writers do not bother reading the books. It is almost as if the read reviews and mess everything up. Nevertheless, I still like to see who they pick compares to my imagination.

Agreed “Great book and Great Series” 5 Star status. However, I am a hate it; - 1 star, like it;-3 star or love it;-5 stars person. I reserve 2 stars for books with a collection of stories that have one o two I like in them and 4 stars when in a series and it is not as good as the ones before. I am getting off topic again. Great book and series 5 stars all the way… Fallen and Torment!

Yeah, cliffhangers always tick me off because I can't help myself, and I always imagine all these different scenarios. Then I get even more mad when I've predicted right. Yep, cliffhangers are a soft spot for me.

Either you like it or don't. It made me irritated at Luce

I know the ending is kind of frustrating but trust me read passion. It explains so much of the story. At least you didn't have to wait a year to read passion like I did.

I agree. Passion does make things better.

Annie Now I just have to wait until next spring for the final book to come out. I can't wait! I think her stories get better with each book.

Yes, it definitely keeps getting better.

I thought this book filled in a lot of blanks that the first book left behind. I thought it explained more about how their relationship worked.

Tara (taterbeans) i think for a second book it was decent. i liked the change of scenery and being form the bay area i can picture it perfectly (i actually live like 2 hrs from fort bragg). although sunshine all the time of the coast is unrealistic! hehe but it was different and decent. i dont think it pushed the story further, just made luce annoying. another 4 star book only because i love luce and daniel together, still have hopes she will hook up with cam!!! damn it!!!!

I don't think that's meant to be Zayna. I do want to see someone have some kind of lustful relationship with Cam though.

Suckssss....I really liked him. Bt yeah he totally deserves someone if not Luce!!

message 25: by Sharlene (new)

Sharlene (sharlenehuriwai) I don't think it was much of a cliffhanger. She is off to search her past. Doesn't quite know what she is doing. I guess that's a wee bit dangerous. But I think being the Luce to go with the Outcasts would have been a good story too. Time to read Passion :)
