Can't wait to see what everyone has to say about this book!
Happy REading:)

And the near-rape scene wasn't sexy at all for me.
Just my two cents, and not meant to tread on anyone who did like it. :-)

It's too bad you didn't like it:( The Valkerie are def. self Absorbed!lol but when you read there books the become very endearing. They are some of my fav. heriones of all time. But I can see how some of these things turned you off. To be hones the first book was hard for me too, I didn't love Lachlain, but as I read the series, I fell in love with that overbearing Alpha attituted;)

I really like them and find them a little funny, but not the near-rape scene, obviously.
. . . but you might not want to try the most recent one (dreams of a dark warrior). There is some torture, but not in a good sexy way . . .

I LOVED Cade and Holly's book! One of the best of the series for sure:) I agree that Emma was the most whiny of all the heroines, the rest are pretty Kick butt!

I loved that one. The way Cade is careful with Holly's OCD, so cute. That one and the fourth one about Bowen, are my favorite in the series. Ms. Cole cracks me up.

I know...the water bottles, and unopened food...So sweet! Bowen and Gareth are my fav. Lykaes! Got to love those accents;)

I love Nix too. Is she getting her own book in the series? Or is she too crazy? LOL!

Nix will be getting her own book, but Cole said it would be later in the series I think! She is hilarious!

That's good to know. I'd like to learn more about her character.

This is from Kresely Cole's website:
"Audiobooks are coming! Readers have been asking for audiobooks for some time, and I'm delighted to announce that each book in the IAD series will be available in this format. Look for The Warlord Wants Forever, Hunger Like No Other, and No Rest for the Wicked this fall. Ordering info TBA this summer."

That is great. I am listening to Karen Marie Moning's Highlander Series now, which are fun, and I hope Ms. Cole has a male reader, too. Maybe Richard Armitage? He has read some Georgette Heyer novel, and he does such a beautiful job.

*spoilers*
I didn't see Lachlin's actions as near rape. To me it was more that he had been tortured for so long holding out hope for her that he just couldn't control himself when he finally found her.
I loved the actual mating scene. wow.
I liked the conflict the hero suffered internally with her being a vamp. I thought it was part of the hero's healing that he could come to love her.
I thought it was great that Emma was the one to vanquish the villian and she finally got her page in the Valkryrie book.
I know I'm against the grain but I don't like Nix. I think it's because I see her as a troublemaker. I know that really isn't accurate and that it's her ability that makes her seem batty. But I still won't be rushing out to buy her book. :)

Thanks a Bunch Shellbelle...

i'm already a big fan of the paranormal romance books (BDB, lords of the underword, night huntress, atlantis, demonica) and what make me read IAD is the MacCarrik brothers series they are amazing .
at first i didn't agree that she was so helpless she could rescue herself she is strong but doesn't know it .
she refused to be his mate at first because she felt prisoner even for love but at the end she accepted it because she understood her self that she is strong and can walk away if she wants BUT she CHOSE to stay for love .
i guess that is the is the idea that you can't surrender to love because you 're weak but you choose love because your strong.
