Top 10: Characters You'd Like to Meet
Meet. Not Shag. ;)

Wouldn't it be great if we could have a face-to-face with some characters we read about?

You may be interested in meeting a character, like Anita Black, for instance, to teach them about the benefits of limitations and proper birth control. Or maybe someone you'd like to b*tchslap for choosing the wrong guy/girl. They don't all have to be your favorite characters.

Who would you like to meet? Feel free to say why. :)

2) Curran (in Magic Bites) ~ 'cuz I'd love to see what a big cuddly lion he can be
3) Sirantha Jax (in Grimspace) ~ I'd like to (view spoiler)[smack her upside her head for making yet another move that will cause March to be ... angry, worried, etc. etc. -AND- to thank her from bringing March outta his "I feel nothing" hole (hide spoiler)] -AND- to travel through space for a bit.
4) Any one of the changelings (in Singh's Psy-Changelings series) ~ just 'cuz
5) Jace (in Stray) ~ I'd like to (view spoiler)[lick his wounds. Yeah, yeah, I know I said no shaggin', but poor baby needs some attention too. (hide spoiler)]
6) Theresa (in Date Me, Baby, One More Time) ~ I think it'd be a hoot to meet a dragon who can no longer shift and has a serious pretzel craving.
7) Barrons (in Darkfever) ~ So I can see what all the hub-bub is about for myself.
8) John Taylor (in Something from the Nightside) ~ So he can give me a tour of the wild and crazy Nightside
9) Jenks (in Dead Witch Walking) ~ I want to chat with a pixie over a thimble of honey
10) Mercy (in Moon Called) ~ I'd love to meet her, her neighboring shifters and Stefan.

There are others, but I'll stick to the req'd 10. :D

1) I totally want to have a beer with Harry Dresden at Mac's.
2) I desperately want Jenks (Rachel Morgan's partner-pixie) to come help me out in my garden.
3)I need to get a mani/pedi sometime with Surreal Sadiablo (Black Jewels)...the girl is bad@$$!
4)I really need to visit St. Louis sometime so I can sink into that white, staticky place in my head where all feeling goes away and everything is quiet so I can shoot Anita Blake in the head!!!
5)Need to fit in a visit with Riley and Quinn (Warriors of Posioden) sometime so I can catch a ride with one of Posioden's boys. Seriously, flying through the air being carried by a cloud of water vapor is just cool! :)
6)I need to visit the compound in Budapest...need I say more?
7)I think I should pull a few deliveries with Dani or just hang out with Mac so I can beat on Rowena (read kill)!!!
8)A trip to visit Magnus would be a blast! If he can teach my 'white as snow' self to blend into the dark, then the Shadowdwellers really are all that and a big ol' bag of chips.
9)I plan on living in Terre D'Ange for a while so I can learn to fight like a Casseline Brother from Joscelin. The man is smokin' hot and I would be one bad mama-jama with those knife skills!


AND...

10)I don't care that this is a 'No Shag Zone', I still have to meet James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Frasier so I can drool over him and just listen to him talk. Meeerooowwwr!

I'll get the people I need to fly kick out the way first...

1) Seth (and whilst I'm at it Maddie and Georgina) (Succubus Blues) - I have hatred for all of them (view spoiler)[I hate cheating in books and I hate that Georgina says Maddie is her best friend when she's not. I also hate Seth and Maddie together but I would hate them apart as well. Gah! I hate them all! (hide spoiler)] Dante is a babe though.
2) Todd (The Knife of Never Letting Go) - to give him a hug
3) Barrons (Darkfever) - just to stand in his presence and see if I can work out what he is before I read the last book
4) Cassie Palmer (Touch the Dark) - there would never be a dull moment and I'd get to take trips in history and shag meet Pritkin :)
5) Kate Daniels (Magic Bites) - so she can teach me some kick-a$$ moves
6) Sirius Black (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone) - he would be a lot of fun and no doubt has the best stories to tell, all the trouble he used to get in to. Plus he's a wizard. And hot.
7) Trent (Dead Witch Walking) - *sigh* he's a fascinating guy. And hot.
8) Murtagh (Eragon) - (view spoiler)[to ride his dragon (an actual dragon, that's not a euphemism) (hide spoiler)]ish and be his wife.

This is fun! I'm with both you gals...we need to stand in the presence of Barrons to get his 'vibe'. We also need to know if he is really that hot (I'm thinking melt your panties at 50 feet, hot).

Am I totally twisted? If I get to meet someone (other than Jenks) in the Hollows, I want to meet Al. (Don't get me wrong...Trent is A-tract-tEEEEv.) I just think Al is awesome and I am dying to know what he 'really' looks like! The demons just fascinate me. :)

Dana, I'd like to know what all 'really' looks like too. I think it'd be cool to be able to look like anyone you wanted at will.

It totally would be, wouldn't it? Almost as cool as being invisible...and possibly better. The watercrafters in Jim Butcher's Alera books can do this as well. I so want to do that!

In reality though, being able to kick a little @$$ would be better I think. ;)

I wouldn't be a very good a$$ kicker though but I think Kate would be a good teacher. A couple of moves will do ;)

I'd love to grab a beer with Harry and know what Al really looks like as well. But I'm afraid that if I went to the Hollows I'd end up just slapping Rachel and Ivy until they got over the relationship angst. One way or another - don't care just make a decision! (I'm only up to like book 5 so maybe they have and I just don't know it yet)

I'd also love to attend bad movie night with Mercy, Warren, Kyle and Stephan.

And on a less platonic note I'm with Erato on the trip to the compound in Buda. Hellloooo...Stridey-poo...I can be sarcastic and mean just like a Harpy. :)

Oh the Rachel and Ivy things p!$$&$ me off to the extreme. I like Rachel but (view spoiler)[when she let Ivy drink from her, I was so disappointed. All the things she said she would never do like practice ley lines, black magic etc, she did. Obviously sometimes she was in a tight situation and I didn't mind too much about all this kind of stuff but the blood thing annoyed me. She was adamant that no one, not Ivy, nor Kisten or anyone was taking a drop. And then what does she do? Goes back on her word. Now I can't trust what she says because I'm always thinking, well you said that about so-and-so. She talks such BS. And I hate Ivy. For many many reasons. I'd have rather Kisten had drank from her than that b!*#&. When she says that she loves Ivy, I'm like just STFU (hide spoiler)] <<-- for book 4

Josie - I'm with you on all those points and it got no better in book 5. It's frustrating because outside of that I love the stories and the world building in this series. The demons and the elves are just fascinating, plus Jenks is awesome. But the Rachel & Ivy stuff makes me want to throw the book at a wall.

I know! The world-building, Jenks, the demons, Trent, they're all so good! I love them. It's Ivy I can't stand but I know that she's going to be a permanent fixture >:(

Shame about book 5, I just hope book 6 is better *fingers crossed*

1) I can’t tell if this is perfectly normal or perfectly weird to want to meet your own character but I’d love to meet Raffe (in Angelfall). I’d love to walk around with him through the ruins of San Francisco and listen to the stories of his life. And gaze longingly at him. :)

I want to meet Terrible so I can have months and months of raw, mindless sex with him. No I don't care that Steph said no sex, if you get between me and Terrible I wll cut you.

I want to meet Merlin, the Wart, Madame Mim, Madeleine, everyone Neil Gaiman writes about, Michael Cyprien, Curran (see note on Terrible above), Elizabeth David, the Hogfather, Granny Weatherwax, oh my.
