I agree. I read Ice Cold first. I have now read the first two & am about to start The Sinner. I think that the first ones are totally unpredictable & will literally have you holding on to the edge of your seat !

I was the tv series and it don't think they got the characters right.
I agree with you, i also got these pictures in my mind of the characters
And the tv characters aren't like that at all
Isles has blond curls and is a big know it all stuff
and rizolli i don't really know how to describe her but she isn't like i imagine her

I wasn't all that impressed.

Since her mother was from China and her Dad's parents were also, I'm pretty sure it wasn't just because it is currently popular.

I read Gerristen's after thought as well and knew it's beczu of her parents. But I know a great deal about Monkey King as well. She should not choose this character to be her "Zorro". Overall, I think all her characters in this book were poorly developed.

I agree!

Strange, I know, but I can't bring myself to buy another Tess Gerritsen book!

They have to set reasons the characters have to be around and they can make things more flexible because they have to keep events going but also leave things hanging by a technique that will draw in the fans that are urging to see what happens next. And with that they won't be based on the books. I don't know if I will ever get into shows based on books (I have tried but not really cared for shows like "The Dead Zone" for example).
Anyway this book I think was great. I feel that she is great at creating characters that are flawed and I feel in comparison to Mary Higgins Clark, the "queen of suspense" is kind of average.

Agreed. Seems the only connection between the books and the tv series is the names. The books are really interesting. The tv series is boring.

Agreed. See..."
It saddens me when a good book or series are turned onto a film or tv show. It's just not meant to work that way.
