I think the points that stood out the most to me in the book were the smaller scenes like when the creepy kid who killed animals was attacked near his fridge, the image of Pennywise on the ice and the creepy leper under the porch.

I'm reading It for the first time in 12 years and I'm loving it all over again. Several scenes have stuck with me through the years:
The image of Pennywise in the drain right before he kills Georgie. *shudder*
The house on Neibolt Street. That entire scene is terrifying.
Pennywise under the bridge dragging Adrian Mellon and biting him in the armpit. I can see all the balloons floating. Very creepy scene.
Child Bev in her bathroom hearing voices and blood spraying everywhere. Ugh.
