Anagha Uppal | 6 comments Greetings fellow bookworms!

I just created my very first book blog! I would love for you guys to check it out and give me some advice/feedback. Following/commenting is also greatly appreciated.

Also, I need to know how to put book ratings on my posts like on Goodreads, and where I can get GR and Librarything Follow buttons. Obviously, the layout isn't complete yet (beware: it's very messy right now).

I'll also be wanting to review books, and conduct interviews, giveaways, and blog hops on the site with authors as soon as I have everything figured out.
Thanks muchly!

Heather Faville (headshotheather) I'll check it out and welcome to the wonderful and, occasionally stressful, world of book reviewing. I run Doubleshot Reviews (doubleshotreviews.com) and had to actually stop accepting reviews for a while because I and my co-reviewer got so overwhelmed.

Anagha,
I have completed a new zombie novel titled "Zombie Apocalyse: Redemption." This is the first of a series in the planning stage. I noticed you do not accept digital...a shame because the initial release on the 31st will be in Smashwords and Kindle with the paperback version in September.

The main character is Donna Cairn, a CDC researcher, is working in her lab in a converted missile silo in Nebraska when she stumbles upon a new virus ravaging Asia and finds what she believes is case zero for the US. The virus spreads worldwide. Through a zombie point of view character, we learn about the transition he goes through mentally. A love/hate relationship develops between the main character and the virologist the CDC sends her.

The digital launch is planned for the 31st on my website http://www.jomurphey.blogspot.com an all day event which I will send a coupon for the digital Smashwords version for free to all who comment.

I completed the trailer for this novel today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byUpPn...

I'd love for you to review the copy, but I do understand about the digital thing. I also do guest blogs, interviews, and assorted other things writerly. I've been a published nonfiction author for over thirty years and this is my first venture into the thriller/horror genre.

Jo

Anagha Uppal | 6 comments Hey Jo! I followed your blog! Since your book is a paranormal, I usually ask for a short excerpt-do you thing you could email me that? Thanks for the interest!

Thanks for following. How short is short? 50 words, 100 words, 250 words? A whole scene?

Anagha Uppal | 6 comments Oh, about a page or two should be fine.

And can I mention the event on the 31st in my new weekly meme? It'll be something along the lines of Frugal Fiday/Free Friday Finds (leaning towards the latter currently)

Go ahead and mention the e-launch. The more publicity the better. I honestly don't mind giving away books at this point. I'm a member of e-book drop for the troops overseas so I given away several hundred copies of both my books already.

Anagha Uppal | 6 comments Gosh, if you'd only let me know 10 hours earlier...I was waiting for your reply, but then I went ahead and posted this week's Free Finday Finds (that's the new name). No problemo, I'll be sure to post it next week. Sorry about that!
