Terminalcoffee discussion

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm stepping down as a TC moderator. I've been a moderator for close to three years now and I think it's time for new blood. And I'm struggling, both in terms of physical and psychological health (e.g. barely sleeping), and I'm going to make some changes. I'm not doing this for a big "where is he?" thread. That's why I'm posting this here.

Listen. Thank you for everything. I may post every now and then, but I'm going to step away for now. TC has been a huge part of my life, and walking away is heart-wrenching, but it's time. Sometimes big changes bring out the best, you know? Take care. Thanks again. Keep talkin'. The board belongs to all of us, every single fucking one of us, and I'm proud to know you all.

But I hear you about the sleep problems. I watch my alarm clock tick over to 3:00 a.m. several times a week. Take care of what needs to be taken care of. Your family needs you. I'll miss you.

It sounds like you're doing the right thing. Knowing when to say when is one of the most important things there is, you know? Take care of yourself, and we'll be happy whenever you're ready to come back.

Just when I feel like I'm beginning to barely, just a little bit, getting to know you and all your silliness. I definitely understand though. Real life stepped in and whupped my ass a couple of years ago. I had to back off and say "See y'all later" for a bit. Hope things start looking up for you real soon. Take care. I'll be watching for those random RA posts.

There are times (read: every waking moment) when I'd like to pack up the family, put Detroit in my rearview, and head for the Upper Pensinsula to live an eerie, solitary, hermit-like existence on the shores of Lake Superior, beer in hand.

Thanks, people. I'm just stopping by quickly to thank you, for everything, and predict I'll be back around September 15th. Thanks for the slew of kind messages that were waiting when I opened GR this morning. I'm humbled. I'm keeping the new blog ( http://randomanthonywrites.blogspot.com/ ) going with words, pictures, video, etc., and I'm loosely working on a new collection of poems/photographs. Also, I reopened facebook because people kept messaging me there anyway. Thanks again, hope you're all well. See you soon.
