As I work my way through the second quarter of this book, I am really enjoying the way the main character is like a kid in a candy store as he experiences history first hand. I have never been very interested in this paticular era in history, but it makes me wish that I could go back and experience first hand the wild west of the late 1800s. Imagine witnessing the gun fight at the OK Corral or having a front row seat at Buffalo Bill's Wild West. I wonder if they need a courier for the Pioneer Trail tour?
Working your way through the book pretty much says it all! Glad you enjoying something out of this otherwise revolting book.
I like the idea of touring time but I dont feel the intamcy of it in this particular narrative. Its just feels like a he is reading off Wikipedia. Or for that time, Britannica encyclopaedia.
I've finished the book now. So I will just head over to the final chapter section and give my thoughts
