I learned a valuable lesson today and I thought I'd share.

I'd started another thread, wondering where else to shop for e-books other than Amazon. One of the replies was "You should change your name or keep your posts to the 'Meet the Author's' forum.

My name on Amazon was, "Lynn Hardy, Author of Prophecy of the Flame."

I promptly posted a thread: "Is my Log-In Name Offensive."

My gosh, was the response ever intense. Apparently having the name of the book in the title was extremely offensive to many forum goers. They see it as a violation of the rule "No self-promotion."

So authors, take note: Even in the title of your name, you cannot mention you are an author in the kindle forum.

The rebel in me would love to say: let's all change our names to "...Author of...." and post the heck out of the kindle forum. LOL

Whew, thanks for sharing. 8 million rules on Amazon, for sure.
