Gen (gen454) | 282 comments This is so EXCITING, it's the first time i'm creating a challenge. One of the things I love to do the most is to watch international movies. So I created this reading challenge about them.

2. Canada: Incendies - Read a book with twins, a single mother or has fire on the cover.
3. France: Les Visiteurs - Read a book with a witch/wizard, that takes place in a hotel or read a time travel romance.
4. Germany: The Princess and the Warrior - Read a book with a character that is a nurse, a widower or a thief.
5. India: Robot - Read a book with an arranged marriage, a university student or read a science-fiction romance.
6. Japan: The Chasing World - Read a book set in an alternate reality or in a dystopian world.
7. Spain: The Orphanage - Read a book with a character that is an orphan, is ill or read a horror novel.
8. South Korea: Antique - Read a book with a one sided-love, a LGBT romance or read a manga.
9. Taiwan: Silk - Read a book with a ghost, a scientist or a special agent.
10. United Kingdom: Wild Target - Read a book with a professional killer, a french speaking character or a character in hiding.

If you finished this challenge and you liked it, send me a pm and I'll make another with other movie titles. Suggestions are appreciated.

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Fun!! I'll join you Gen. I should be able to cover these categories over the coming 6 months... :)

So the challenge starts 4 Sep and ends 4 Feb? Or does the timeline 'float'? (It is actually 5 Feb over here...)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Will a den of wolves (Play of Passion) who all consider each other 'family' work for "Animal Kingdom"?

message 8: by Gen (new)

Gen (gen454) | 282 comments Yes, you can post the books as you go; and yes, if they consider themselves a family, it works.

Vi | 2794 comments Hey Gen, I have a question. For the India category, can we just read a science-fiction novel? I want to read I, Robot but I'm pretty sure it's not a romance.

Gen (gen454) | 282 comments If you don't find any science-fiction romance, than it's alright if you read just a sci-fi.
