Stephen (havan) Alice chooses to write her good bye note on a page torn from The Merchant of Venice. In that book the ungrateful daughter deserts Shylock and steals a casket of jewels to take with her.

I know that Alice and Jasper departed in a hurry but I wonder why that particular book was chosen. Those that have finished Breaking Dawn know that Alice wasn't really deserting the Cullens.

I've been trying to think of a more appropriate shakespeare play for her to have chosen.

Tiff (toastreads) Maybe it's because they were to believe they were deserting them in the best intrest of the family?

But at different times they thought it was because Alice saw that they were all going to die.

Stephen (havan) Sorry about the neverending quiz question snafu. I answered bunch of Breaking Dawn trivia questions as soon as I finished re-reading the book and I deleted mine because I found that it was a duplicate.

I really hate that there are so many duplicate questions out there and try not to add to the clutter.

I don't mind. I like them as they keep me in Twilight land. I was just unable to create a question about Percy's sword Riptide as there were already 3 questions about it so I have to think more. When I first got on goodreads in Oct of 08 or 09 I had never heard of Twilight but I found the quiz right away and hundreds of Twilight questions. So while standing in line at Kroger I got the paperback so I could do the questions. That was it for me. I had to have all the books then. I just found a new Twilight group to join too. I have had terrible arthritis pain today and somehow Twilight eases my pain, isnt't that weird?
I never get enough Twilight questions or anything other about Twilight. More, more!~

Oh, for those who might want the choker be careful if you wash it as it shrinks. I rinsed it in a little lavender....oops!

Ashley Mackler-Paternostro (ashmp) | 7 comments Stephenie Meyer actually addressed this in her Twilight Saga guide....the conflict in The Merchant is not a physical one...it was Alice leaving an "easter egg" for Bella to discover...warning her or rather preparing her for what was to come.

Is that the book with the missing puzzle piece on the cover?
