What did you guys think of Crescendo?
Crescendo (Hush, Hush, #2) by Becca Fitzpatrick
The romance aspect of the book was good. I liked the Patch parts and even the Scott parts. Becca Fitzpatrick is good at that whole sexual tension thing.

However, as a whole book, Crescendo was kind of disappointing. I did like it. It's just that I felt like Nora kept making the same mistakes she made in the last book. It seemed like the only thing she learnt was that she shouldn't assume that random voices in her head that sound like her dad are really her dad.

I actually had high exceptions for this book because so many people say its such a great book. Can someone who thought this was an awesome book please tell me why you liked it so much?

Love_books | 23 comments actually i did warn u lol nora sure as hell was an disappointing i mean what kind of idiot would repeat the same mistakes over and over + patch couldve just told her everything from the beginning right? i mean i know that doesnt leave alot to write about but all these misunderstandings got me a little mad and i agree about liking the scott parts he was kind of a mystery i hope becca fitzpatrick brings him back in the future

You were right Love_books, but I'm still glad I read it because now some of the hows and whys of hush hush have been answered.

I have another question for anyone reading this . Doesn't Nora's mom seem sort of neglectful? Look at all the accidents this woman's kid has had, and she's still not back from her "trip" yet.

Love_books | 23 comments ikr noras mom is the perfect examples of shitty parents i mean come on look at how many bad things nora has gone through yet she doesnt support her daughter at all. All she can do is judge patch AND SHES ALOMOST NEVER HOME

i think her mum would get in the way maybe?

Sporty No1 | 21 comments and i kinda only liked the ending
nora bugs me how stupid she is somethings

Tara (taterbeans) i did like this book. there were aspects that were annoying as with the first book, but i still loved it. and i think patch is always the reason they are good. and nora is the reason that its not a 5 star book. her mistrust drives me insane. but her adventures although stupid to start with are fun to read about.

Zayna | 41 comments This book really made me cry. I absolutely hated Nora. You don't just break up with Patch..It doesn't work that way..I felt like chucking the book at a wall every time she made a mistake...which was often..Nora's mom...HATED HER. But the point of the book, in my opinion, was Patch. and i absolutely loved it because of him!!

I kind of supported her decision to break up with Patch, but that's only because I thought she was going to explore a relationship with Scott and try and make Patch jealous. I thrive on that kind of emotional drama, but I didn't except Nora to just sit on her butt and cry about why it is that Patch doesn't love her enough.

Also - I just realized this about Patch - doesn't Patch kind of seem like he doesn't know what he's feeling or just lies about. When I finished the first book, I was under the impression that they realized they love each other. So why is it that Patch just continually acted like a jerk throughout most of the book? I get that Nora was winy and insecure about her relationship with Patch, but he wasn't suppose to go out and prove her point for her.

Stevie | 14 comments i was super frustrated throuhgout the whole book! patch was really frustrating me. but i still love him! haha.

Marijke Jansen (marijkefjansen) I totally agree with you all. I really hated Nora sometimes, because she clearly wanted to make up with Patch, but again and again she said something that made everything even worse. I drove me insane! I must admit that I even stopped reading it for a while, because I started feeling a bit sick while reading it. Eventually I read on Twitter that there would be a third book and people kept posting those happy tweets about Patch and Nora, so I finally found enough courage to finish the book after a while. I was happy with the ending (and it made me curious for Silence, which is still on my to-read list), but the rest of Crescendo is certainly not my favourite story.

Kimberly Genest I'm reading it right now, but I don't understand the thing with the archangels. Like, I know they can't be together(Nora & Patch) otherwise he'll go to hell and Nora doesn't want that so she breaks up with him. But why would the archangels do that? Why will they send him to hell?
