Renée (maagtablet) Trudi Canavan
Her books aren't really YA-books, but they sure read like YA!

The Black Magician Trilogy
The Magicians' Guild (Black Magician Trilogy, #1) by Trudi Canavan The Novice (Black Magician Trilogy, #2) by Trudi Canavan The High Lord (Black Magician Trilogy, #3) by Trudi Canavan

It's prequel:
Magician's Apprentice by Trudi Canavan

And the sequel Traitor Spy Trilogy:
The Ambassador's Mission (Traitor Spy Trilogy, #1) by Trudi Canavan The Rogue (Traitor Spy Trilogy, #2) by Trudi Canavan The Traitor Queen (Traitor Spy Trilogy, #3) by Trudi Canavan
(I can't wait for that last one)

And don't forget her separate, but still amazing trilogy, The Age of Five:
Priestess of the White (Age of the Five, #1) by Trudi Canavan Last of the Wilds (Age of the Five, #2) by Trudi Canavan Voice of the Gods (Age of the Five, #3) by Trudi Canavan

For anyone who's read one or more of the books from Trudi Canavan. I've kinda taken-over the The Magicians Guild group and now I need more members! So if you like TC (and if you like MVS you have to like TC too!) come join me!

Rea Trudi Canavan is one of my favourite authors. Her books are certainly aimed more at the female reader (in my opinion)but I really like her style. I'm not sure whether I preferred TBM or TAoF (though TAoF is definitely aimed at older readers than TBM.)

I haven't read the Traitor Spy books yet but I'll have to get a move on with the last book due out this summer!
