Ice Station
question
Nice book to read

Nice book to read with lots of twists and turns. Albeit difficult to imagine maghook weapon use by protagonist and his team. Worth to be converted into a movie. Everything is revealed by 60% of the book and the thrill lost.

Hi, anyone of any ages would love this book.
I have read all of his books, they are so great. If you like the Scarecrow books, you should try reading his other books, the Jack west books are great as well as his stand only books. I'm was only 14 years old when i read them. (my dad and my borther wanted me to read them when i was 8) Now Im 15 years old and Im a girl. It wasn't a gross look there is blood in this book. No I loved it. Now waiting for new books by Matthew reily.

I hope it is good as Ice Station Zebra. My favorite thriller is Firefox by Craig Thomas. Named my modified Corvette racer "The Firefox" See the picture on Corvette Forum.
It was one of my favourite Matthew Reilly books and inspired me to write my own
Ever since watching the 1980's movie "The Thing" I have loved books with settings in the arctic. The action was top notch, as always with Reilly. Rollins had a book with a similar setting, can't remember the name.
I thought Reilly did an excellent job of combining a heart-pounding plot with characters you can actually care about. Scarecrow and the members of his team were not only skilled fighters, but good people who looked after the innocents caught in the crossfire. I love to see that in action-adventure books.
Enjoyed the book, the setting, the characters. I especially liked the Killer Whale element. Nice touch. Would make a great film.
"Scarecrow & Mother" RULE!
Has anyone heard anything on his SCI/FI Trilogy? He mentioned in the back of,"Area 7 or Scarecrow"?

Add another Matt Reilly fan here. I love his Scarecrow stories and this is the title that started it all for me. I said to myself I would take a break when the action slowed down a bit and some love aspect would slow the story down. But I NEVER got to a slow spot. Action all the way: A real suger rush!
While I give all his Scarecrow titles 4 or 5 stars, I was not totally crazy about his Jack West Jr books. Too much of a kiddie element in them. Almost as if they were written for young adults. Nothing wrong with that, but I want my "R" rated "Die Hard" action stories from Matt.

Matt Reilly writes the best action movie books. Ice Station is my all time favourite and I can happily read it over and over.
I tend not to be an action/adventure reader, but found this book on a lawn with several others -- free to a good home, I suppose. Read it and enjoyed it. Non-stop action, for sure. So who plays the lead in the movie: Bruce Willis, Sly Stalone, Arnie... Or are they all getting to old???
T.M. (Trent Michael) Shannon
Scarecrow will be hard to cast, you need a good strong lead but a memorable face because he wears his sunnies most of the time. Neither of the big guy

Hey, how many times does that shark get scarecrow's head? Minus that, its perfect!
Lol, yeah what would they have done without the infamous mag-hook? The way the scenery was described in this book was excellent--I could see the antartic ice station (and not just bc the book contained maps). Really dragged you into the atmosphere.
Hi have you read the scarecrow, Area 7 you will like them too give them a try.:)
I was impressed that he was able to write a gun battle scene that took over 80 pages to describe, and it never got tiresome.
I agree. I love Matt Reilly and his Non stop action. I don't want to read it constantly, but when I do, Matt's books fit the bill. I really liked the cast of characters in this book (and several others) and am looking forward to his newest. This book may be my favorite after Temple.
he has a new book coming out in the new few months, another scarecrow one to go with the 3 that are already out
I love Ice Station. It is nonstop action and as soon as you think they have things undercontrol they are into another battle with different group of people. Fast paced fun read. I just reread recently and feel sure that I will reread again sometime in the future,
I read this. It's good as long as you like non-stop militaristic action without letup from start to finish.
