I learned this morning that one of my favorite Aussie female fantasy authors died yesterday.
I loved everything I read written by her, my favorite being
Threshold
. I devoured
her Troy Game series
. I started
her Darkglass Mountain series
, finishing
The Serpent Bride
as soon as I could get my hands on it, but haven't continued on yet.
Along with the news of her death, I found
her blog post on death and dying from March 2010
, which inspired me to write one of my own in a similar vein:
To Scream or Keep Silent, That Is the Dying Question
.

I haven't read any of her work either, although I have
The Devil's Diadem
in my TBR pile.

Wow. I haven't read any of her books, but I know she's a pretty big name in fantasy. Sad. R.I.P. :(
