Hello, everyone! I've noticed that a lot of my fellow members (you) have been posting books that you've published and/or are soon to be published on random threads, so I thought it might be nice to have a thread specifically for books published by members.

I'll start. I just published the first book in my YA science fiction series, The Foxfire Chronicles. The book is called Shadows of Past Memories, and is about two best friend who are thrown into turmoil when one discovers she's being hunted by an otherworldly madman, and that she has a secret past she never knew about. It's more of a light science fiction, with a bit of romance and old-fashioned horror.

If interested, please check out my website, where you can view the book trailer and read the first few chapters: http://www.alexandralanc.com

Looking forward to seeing everyone's books!

There is a very similar thread by the way called "what's Writing, Yo" I know, I should've probably named it something more obvious lol. But nothing wrong with starting another thread about it! :D

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

Sorry, I thought that was more of an "I'm currently working on" rather than an "I just published" thread. My bad...

message 7: by David (new)

David Batchelor Hi All, In the spring my 1st science fiction novel was published, The Metalmark Contract. It's a hard SF first contact story about an enigmatic alien trader who offers humankind a tempting deal: a quantum leap to starship technological in return for the rights to planet Mercury and moon Triton. What could go wrong? It's getting great reviews on Shelfari and in other blogs: http://www.shelfari.com/books/2336834...

Fans of Sir Arthur C. Clarke and Isaac Asimov would like TMC. If you like that sort of book, enjoy!

Best, Dave

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

I love SF, David! Will definitely give it a look. Best of luck! :)

message 9: by Cambria (new)

Cambria (cambria409) | 178 comments Awesome David!!! Congrats!

message 10: by David (new)

David Batchelor Thanks for the good wishes! I will need them because the publisher is a small up-and-coming press with limited marketing/publicity powers. But Black Rose Writing is great at making the book available on all online book sources, and in Kindle and Nook editions!

Hello, everyone! I have just released the new edition of my first novel, a YA Christmas story called Clara Claus, for only $0.99.

Here is the short synop:

Jack Frost has been trying to destroy Christmas for years, and in order to save his job must complete a task he deems impossible -- until he meets Santa's granddaughter Clara, who begins to change his view of what Christmas is all about.

It's a bit of a Fantasy book, though it's also obviously a Christmas book, and it also has a nice dash of romance in it. But, I promise, none of the "normal" holiday fiction here!

Please check it out! More info at my website, where you can also read the first few chapters if you'd like:
