One challenge type I haven't seen here is one that tracks pages read, not books.
Ok one idea is going through my head is doing one with the awareness ribbon. Cause a lot of the ribbons have more then on meaning and some are lesser known.
EX:
Pink: Most commonly associated with breast cancer awareness, this ribbon is also a symbol for birth parents, and childhood cancer awareness
Awareness Ribbons
Awareness Ribbons Wiki
Awareness Ribbons craftsnscraps
and there might be more sites out there and meanings

Still working on the idea but I wanted to run it by yall before I make the challenge. It wont be til next month or I might want for Jan 2012

Maybe a monthly for the year? List out 12 ribbons and 5 types of books to go with each then assign each a month. That way we know what is expected for the year in January.
Yes Dawn I was thinking about a year challenge or a 6 months challenge. There are a lot of color awareness ribbons so I was just going to use the main colors we use.Pink,Red,Yellow,Blue,Green,Black,Purple,Orange,Silver, Teal, and Dark Blue
I couldn't sleep last night so I came up with a lot more challenge ideas
can't wait to see your scatagories challenge

Scategories Challenge
The Challenge: I will post a list of 12 categories, 6 general relating to any book, and 6 specific to that month. On the last day of the month before, I will post the letter of the month. You can start reading on the 1st. The goal is to get as many points as possible by the end of the month.
Points: You get one point for each category you can tie to a book. You get double points for each time the letter of the month is used to begin a word (ex. for author if the letter was C, Cassandra Claire would be 2 points).
Special categories are open for interpretation. As long as it is mentioned in the book and you can justify how it fits, it will work.
For the special categories please note on which page number the item is mentioned.

2.Child abuse- read a YA book
3.Addiction Recovery Awareness- Read any book to feed your book addiction

I'm in the bingo challenge right now with SOS and it is fun but I feel were you are coming from Dawn. How would yall like to do a team challeng were new teams can join through out the team challenge?

Like I said before, it sounds fun and I would like to do it once it is up and running!

Yeah I was thinking about doing a 50 states challenge but starting on Jan 1st so it might be easier for people to start.

I would post whatever you need to find 1 or 2 times a week.

It can be on the cover
In the title
