I really enjoyed re-reading Sorcerer's Stone. Like Kay, I picked up on some things that I missed on my first read. I was surprised, and in awe, that so many elements presented in book 1 are used throughout the entire series. Rowling just amazes me.
I love that so many quotes were used verbatim in the movie. I have to admit that I like the climax of the book better than the movie (Harry tied in the ropes). I understand the changes though. It happens with any book to movie conversion.
Can't wait for book 2!

Amazing! re-reading this book reminded me what I love about YA Fantasy. Watching the movie soon after reading also shows you how inventive they filmakers were to combine scene, omit scenes and make the important ones come alive. I'm so happy to share this journey again with Book Bodega!
