message 3: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments My dear, what are you planning on next? After these of course? Will you be reading Shatter Me or Matched?

I like generally like James Patterson.

message 6: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments I forgot I am also leading The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials, #1) by Philip Pullman which I have started today.

message 7: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments I don't have that book. :(

But I'm going to start either Shatter Me or Matched tonight to help out with the group discussion but I'm not sure which just yet.

message 9: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments I will probably finish Completely Smitten today. Now I need to decide which audiobook to start next.

message 10: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments I have decided to go ahead and start 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami on audiobook

message 11: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments How is it thus far?

message 12: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments Fairly good! I am liking the male voice but not the female voice so much. I am only in the middle of the 3rd chapter.

message 13: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments How did you like the Endless Summer bind up? I found it today on sale.

Did I ask or miss your answer? Where do you get all of your audio books?

message 14: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments I liked the first book in Endless Summer ("The Boys Next Door") however I disliked the 2nd book ("Endless Summer"). I thought the second book was extremely immature. The 1st book was slightly immature as well, but the second book brought it to the point of annoying.

If you look in my million minutes page I answered your question.

message 15: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments I have FINALLY finished a book! It has taken me forever plus 20 years!

Where Angels Go by Debbie Macomber by Debbie Macomber

message 16: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments Was it worth it?

message 17: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments Well I absolutely LOVE Debbie Macomber! This wasn't one of her best books, but definitely worth reading.

message 18: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments I have not read anything by her. I've read a couple of Jude Deveraux bc that is my mothers favorite author. I ended up with her books when she moved south. So, I decided I should get a few a go. Not too bad.

message 19: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments I think I am going to start Fools Rush In as my next Nookbook.

message 20: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments Today I finished... The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials, #1) by Philip Pullman & Skipping Christmas by John Grisham

I am going back to 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami and picking up Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly

message 21: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments Another two in before the new year is done!

message 22: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments Yay! I finished Home at Rose Cottage Three Down the Aisle\What's Cooking? by Sherryl Woods I feel like that book took me forever! Not that it wasn't good just not as good as some of the others I was reading. It had two stories, but I liked the second book way better than the first.

message 23: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments I almost thought it was alternating. Good to know it is sort of slow to het through.

message 24: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments I finished another!!!! Fools Rush In (Weddings by Bella, #1) by Janice Thompson This book was cute and sweet! It was a Christian Fiction book, but a good cute book.

message 25: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments Now time to focus on Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly

message 26: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments I have that book on my Nook. ;)

Yes, onward to the revolution.

message 27: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments I finished Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly which I absolutely LOVED. Now I am going to start on a GR giveaway Pam of Babylon by Suzanne Jenkins and a free Nookbook Wish by Alexandra Bullen

message 28: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments I have sort of started Call Me Mrs. Miracle by Debbie Macomber on my phone when I don't have another book handy too.

message 29: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments Sort of. LOL! Your funny! Hope you like your sort of book ;)

message 30: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments Yeah I am only on Ch. 3...granted that means I am almost caught up to Wish. I read during my lunch yesterday at work.

message 31: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments I checked to see if wish was still available. It's not... but that is ok. I downloaded about 100 other ebooks. Ok, not that much but I am always a downloading fool when I go in to check on ebooks.

message 32: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments Holy cow! I can't believe it went up that much in price! I did get it back in 2010 so that could be why...When I was looking for some good free ebooks.

message 33: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments I am debating whether I want to finish Pam of Babylon. It is just really annoying because for realistic fiction, it doesn't seem very realistic. I mean seriously who finds out upon their husband's sudden death that he was having an affair and is totally cool with it!!!! I am pretty sure I wouldn't be.

message 34: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments That is annoying. I'm thinking of Dropping Death Cloud. It's so boring! *sigh*

message 35: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments I just hate dropping books though!!!! Sometimes they turn out soooo good! Like The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo was an amazing book! Even if it did take time to get into.

message 36: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments I heard the first 100 is boring.

I don't drop many. I pushed myself to get past 200 pages last night. 100 to go. Maybe a chapter a night along w eat pray love. If I do that I should still be able to finish it this month.

*prays* dear Buddha, God, & the Creator,
Please no more boring books for us for at least the rest of the month and next. All of our next books will be engaging and fast paced.

Amen.

message 37: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments Thanks for the fabulous prayer MS! I read about 50 pages while I was lying in bed for awhile earlier. After I woke up.

What time do you like to read? I found I do the most and best reading in the morning after I wake up.

message 38: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments Lately I've been laid up and I'm not working so I read sporadically throughout the day. But generally I read to the boys before they go to bed and I usually keep reading switching to my own books after they fall asleep. Some books put me to bed and others keep me up all night. Just got to know more... those are the 5 star books for me. Especially, when a book doesn't let me sleep.

message 39: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments If I have a normal work schedule I can do that. Especially since I work shift work and right now I do a lot of 2p-10p, so when I get off if I can stay up all night with a good book or TV show or movie, it is no problem because I can sleep in the morning. It mostly sucks when another supervisor calls off especially for graveyard.

message 40: by Mad Scientist (new)

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments Oh that is no fun. I'd be thinking... over time equals more books!!! Oh happy day! Wait a minute, where am I going to get more time to read more books. Crap. But my shelf will be pretty!! and Full!!

message 41: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments Yay!!!! I finally finished this God forsaken book! Pam of Babylon by Suzanne Jenkins

I am going to finish Call Me Mrs. Miracle by Debbie Macomber for a monthly challenge

message 42: by ★Meghan★ (new)

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments I am in the Cover to Cover Readathon like Z is so I will try to post what books I finish through the week. Hopefully more than 2-3. I am going for finishing at least 4 books.

message 43: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Good luck, Meghan!

★Meghan★ (starinheaven) | 1455 comments Ha! I can't seem to sleep now and finished The Unwritten Rule by Elizabeth Scott . I have started 3 other books just recently too. 1984 by George Orwell , I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You (Gallagher Girls, #1) by Ally Carter , and The Surgeon (Jane Rizzoli & Maura Isles, #1) by Tess Gerritsen . I am also still working through 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami ...

I am hoping to finish a couple more books by Tuesday.

message 50: by Zakiya (new)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Let me know how you like 1984!! I started reading it last year, but don't think I got past the first few pages.

Great reading!
