Gregory Rothbard (polycarp55) Welcome to December's Modern Library Book Club's Selection The Movie Goer by Walker Percy. My name is Gregory D. Rothbard, but you can call me Greg. I have been participating in this group for about a year now and have enjoyed the process so far. I picked the Movie Goer because I was thinking:
1. of the season (December is often the time for day dreams).
2. that it was short
3. that I had heard great things about this book but had never read it.
I look forward to leading the discussions here on this book. As, I am new to leading a group discussion please be understanding of me and my attempts. I am a bit nervous. But I am looking forward to discussing with all of you this great book. Your friend, Greg

Gregory Rothbard (polycarp55) Here is my plan for reading it.
Read and discuss Chapters 1-2 the first week. (December 1-8)
Read and discuss Chapters 3 the second week.(December 8-15)
Read and discuss Chapter 4 the third week.(December 16-23)
Read and discuss Chapter 5 and wrap it up, the fourth week.(December 17-31)

Gregory Rothbard (polycarp55) The Rules:
1. Have Fun.
2. Lovingly disagree and remember that the other reader is not just someone that has no feelings, or is a dumb dolt.
3. Keep Your Comments to the Schedule.
That way we do not give away any of the book to readers who may be reading it at a slower clip than those that speed read.
Make Only comment on the week that we are currently reading. It will derail us if you make a comment on Chapter One and we are on Chapter 5.
You can reference chapter one, but all questions should be addressing what is in the group's current chapter.
5. Remember I am new at this and may stumble, but I am eager to discuss this group.

Have a wonderful week reading Chapters 1-2. I look forward to hearing from all of you.
