The Zombie Group! discussion

Maybe I'm obsessing too much again, but should zombies have beards and long hair? I read somewhere that your hair carries on growing for a while after you die. So if I had survivors with scraggly hair and beards but clean-shaven zombies would anyone pick up on that? Fingernails would be another thing, but I suppose they could snap off naturally.

Hair and nails in fact do NOT continue to grow after you die. At times they may seem to on recently deceased bodies, but it's due from skin contracting and pulling back further thus making things like hair and nails seem longer. My understanding is that specifically the nails growing thing became a popular misunderstanding after All Quiet on the Western Front was published and became popular, because he states it as fact in there.

As far as the zombies being clean shaven I would just assume they were turned when they themselves were clean shaven. But yeah, it does seem like more zombies should have bears.
