I just finished the book, and I have to say, i think it was Cassie Clares' best work ever! From start to finish, there was always something going on- although *spoiler* as a Team Will supporter, the ending was absolutely devestating. Aaah, can't wait till Clockwork Princess! I hope Will ends up with Tessa somehow, anyway.

i it was devestating every thing was great until the end it left me with so many questions that im cant wait at all but i have to for another year!?

I loved that Tess cares enough for jem to want to see him happy

the thing is she care so much that he is happy she doent think about will or herself

I know will was forced to do it but he kept pushing Tessa away which only bought will n jem closer. And the whole cecily thing..Cassie left us with nothing to go on there it's agonizing lol

This book is the best of TID series so far.
I loved that we get to know more about Jem. He's my favourite character. So sweet, gentle and caring. He's just special *-*
I loved also that we get to know what was going on with Will. I sincerely disliked him in the first book. He was so mean. But now that I know everything, his pain touches me too.

There was soo many things happening in this book at made me
1) want to throw the book at the wall.
2) stand up and cry or
3) do both at the same time
This book was really fantastic i loved all the characters (except Jessamine) and the settings are just amazing! I cant wait for Clockwork Princess

I almost think she felt bad for Jem and thought that since Will doesn't care about her she'd go for the person she knew cared about her. She does love both of them but I feel like she loves Will more but maybe that's just because I'm Team Will...

You don't think that just because you're Team Will. I am Team Jem and I think the same.
In my opinion, Tessa loves both guys but in a very different way.
For me it's the same situation that in The Phantom Of The Opera, you see. Christine's feelings for the Phantom were a lot about physical attraction and desire. Her feelings for Raoul were a lot more innocent and pure, since they were close friends since childhood.
I think that Will is Tessa's Phantom and Jem is Tessas's Raoul.
I believe that Tessa loves Will more, however, as he didn't show any signs of wanting her and he was mean, she got more and more attached to Jem, the sweet, caring guy that was there for her.
And as his health always worried and touched her deeply, when she found out that he was in love with her she felt compelled to accept his proposal.
But then there's that hot moment between Tessa and Jem in his bedroom that leaves me a bit confused.
Up to that moment, Tessa was not that passionate with Will. Yes, they shared a kiss a few times but it's different.
If the box with the drug hadn't stopped them I believe that they would have made love.
I don't know. It's just confusing.

That's like a perfect description...can't believe I didn't see the connection with Phantom of the Opera I love that play!

yeah i do agree with that but i dont think she loves Will more even though i am team Will but she loves them differently like you said, she has had passionate encounters with both boys so its hard make my mind up if she loves one more or the other, cassandra put on hair tumble frequently asked questions that she loved them equally but the reason she chose jem was because it did less damage to the people around them and if choosing will would have do the least damage she would of but it wouldnt- something like that

Yeah I think so too I just don't see how she could happily marry jem, I don't think she is going to marry him or end up with Will :'(

:'( Jem deserves to be happy because like Sophie said, "Will has always been the brighter burning star, the one to catch attention — but Jem is a steady flame, unwavering and honest".
Besides, he's the sweetest, most caring guy ever and he was always there for Tessa. He truly loves her.
And his suffering because of his health and possible premature death only adds to that.
I hope he doesn't die but if he does, he deserves to live his last days by Tessa's side.

Yeah I agree, she has a different sort of love for both. I dont think she has only physical attractions for will, she has them for both! Or else the Jem scene would never have happened.

She and Will love the same things -same books- they understand each other so well,they almost seem like soul mates to me. Her and Jem aren't the same but they love each other regardless.

If Tessa had known about will's curse I think things would have been way different.

Also I love Will! But I like Jem too, just not as much as Will. I dont know how the series will end, whatever it is I want Will, Jem and Tessa to all be happy in some way or another.

Yeah I agree with the if tessa knew about the curse, but then again is she had know from the begining will still would of pushed her away because he didn't know then that the curse was fake but I guess tessa would of been much more understanding, yay! I'm team will too!

I think that maybe Tessa wouldn't have accepted Jem's proposal if she knew why Will was pushing her away. Yay more people on Team Will!

Yeah I don't think she would of excepted the proposal either, its really said but I don't think she's going to to get married because in one of the spoiler it says "and the gold of her ruined wedding dress" or " and the ruined gold of her wedding dress" lol one of them I can't remember exactly

I love the whole Love theme of the book, the way she made it that Will who is totally in love with Tessa can't yet exactly be with Tessa since Tessa and Jem are engaged/ soon to be

It's so amazing yet, at the same time Jem and Tessa engaged! OMG! I could have died when Will found out the curse was not real.

I think it's just selfish and foolish of Jem marrying Tessa when he knows he's going to die soon.

wouldn't you want to live a full and happy life while you could? Tessa didn't have to say yes

Yeah. But she said yes cuz of the way Jem said that he is recovering cuz of her convinced her more. She doesn't love him but just cares about him. And I really felt bad for Will he was so happy after he gotta know that he isn't cursed.

This is what I think ... (I'm team Jem and Will but more Jem) Jem's going to die with Tessa by his side. Will is either going to do one of two things
1)Will is going to go into deep depression and shut everyone out even Tessa
2)Will is going to try to get with Tessa but Tessa is going to too heartbroken and try to shut him out. Eventually Tessa is going to fail and she's going to do something like make out with Will like she did Jem. Afterwords Tess is probably going to feel guilty and shut out Will for good. THEN Will is going to go into deep depression.
And I just want to point this out if Will's "curse" had not have happened Will probably would have never became a Shadowhunter. Just wanted to put that out there.
And I haven't read CP2 yet.

if Tessa is a warlock she can't produce. But Herondale bloodlines is still there, Jace is one. So that means Will does finds someone else for him. And there's no Carstairs descendant so that shows he dies or becomes a silent bro.
Somewhere I think Will should forget about Tessa and live a happy life with someone who truly loves him . Hes a great person and deserves a better life. I feel bad for him :(

Clockwork prince
Loved it
Such a suspense and on the edge
Especially the final chapters
Poor will I feel like holding him in a ball and giving him a cuddle

Can't wait to read the next instalment !! :D

Yes I caught one about who ends up with who and I was not happy lol.

Anyway, i'm about halfway through and spotted something that's either a mistake on the part of the author or I have made one. I have just been reading about Gideon and Gabriel's uncle Silas who is specifically referred to as their mother's brother but he is then called 'Silas Lightwood'. Surely if he's the mother's brother then his surname would not be 'Lightwood' but would be whatever Benedict Lightwood's wife's maiden name is???

Would someone like to do sort of like a group/buddy read for this book sometime in November?

I can't come back to this. It tore out my heart. Look, see? There it is! One of the most amazing series that I have ever had the pleasure of reading. But I can't take it again! My feelings have a limit.
