Hmmm. I actually just sent you a friend request on FB not two hours ago. I'm really hoping that's not what prompted this :).

Edit: I just realized we aren't official "friends" on GR! I could have sworn we were. But I do remember that you're trying to avoid a real creeper and have your friending option on lockdown. Oh dear.

You're friends with other TCers and I've seen your profile pic before because of RA's blog.

Plus I remember arguing with some of the GR librarians with you on a feedback thread about friend request issues.

Félix (habitseven) Everybody knows who you are, Dutch.

message 4: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments I don't know who you are. :(

But any friend of my friend is my friend.

Or something like that.

message 5: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I don't clean out my FB friends. If I don't want to read their shit, I just hide their feed. I've done that quite a lot.

message 6: by Janice (new)

Janice (jamasc) I cleaned out my FB friends a while back. I think it's worthwhile cleaning it out every now and again.

I had the opposite situation happen, Dutch. I ran into a friend at the airport when we were headed to Vegas in November. I haven't seen her in several years. She added me as a friend to FB about a year ago. I mentioned that my mom had a stroke in August and she replied, "I know. I saw it on FB." I thought it was kind of weird that she wouldn't have said something at the time.

Angela~twistedmind~ (twistedmind) | 538 comments I've never un-friended anyone, but it's actually due to the fact that I hardly ever check my FB. I know what you mean about someone not acknowledging your updates or even responding when you acknowledge theirs'. I should un-friend them but I just choose to ignore the fact that they are basically ignoring me.
It irritates me when someone sends me a "haven't heard from you in ages" message. Really? I guess you overlooked all those pms I sent you months ago.
Janice, it weirds me out, too, when someone I haven't seen in months, even years, starts asking about my old updates or, the absolute best, asks if my youngest daughter is okay because she seems to be depressed in her posts. If you're so concerned about her, umm, how about you call her and see if she needs to talk?

Lyzzibug ~Still Breathing~ (lyzzibug) | 708 comments I've never deleted anyone from my FB. I’ve been selective from the beginning of who I add on there, so there are no problems like that.

Wait...wait, wait a minute. RA has a blog?

message 10: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) He most certainly does.

message 11: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments It's on the inner portion of his right thigh, and he really doesn't like to have attention called to it.

Félix (habitseven) It has a hair growing out of it. Or so I've heard.

message 13: by Youndyc (new)

Youndyc | 1255 comments I'm curious about RA's blog. Not the hair part, because that's not appealing, but the what's written in the blog part.

I'm pretty sure RA's blog is aimed at tween girls. Every time I google Taylor Swift, RA's blog is near the top of the results.
