Stacie Vetsch I know my goal is a wee-bit higher than 75, but I really like the people in this group :) So I'm sticking around! Anyway, the goal once again this year is 200!!! I barely made it last year, and according to goodreads I'm already 1 book behind, but hopefully I can get back into the swing of things.

AMAZING retelling of Cinderella!

Stacie Vetsch #2 Fracture by Megan Miranda
Fracture by Megan Miranda

An interesting story with a paranormal twist. I couldn't put it down because I had to know what happened to Troy, Delaney and Decker! Looks like 2012 is off to a good start.

Stacie Vetsch #3 Exposed by Kimberly Marcus
Exposed by Kimberly Marcus

A story written in verse, which I love! Marcus handled a difficult topic well, and wrote in a realistic, understanding way.

Lilly, I noticed that Fracture has gotten some very good reviews on Goodreads. With 511 ratings, it's averaging over 4 stars!

Stacie Vetsch It really was a great book Kay! Definitely a good 2012 read. :)

Stacie Vetsch #4 Lie by Caroline Bock
Lie by Caroline Bock

What would you do if a person you loved brutally assaulted two brothers? Would you tell? ...This was such a heart-breaking, yet inspiring novel.

Stacie Vetsch #5 Replication: The Jason Experiment by Jill Williamson
Replication The Jason Experiment by Jill Williamson

This was a sci-fi novel with a lot of religion mixed in. I didn't mind the mix of science talk and religion, but if you don't like that sort-of thing then I wouldn't recommend this book.

Stacie Vetsch #6 Tempest by Julie Cross
Tempest (Tempest #1) by Julie Cross

Time travel? In a completely different sense than you would think? Yes, please! This was a great debut novel by Julie Cross! She told an amazing story with some great characters.

Stacie Vetsch #7 The Water Wars by Cameron Stracher
The Water Wars by Cameron Stracher

A dystopian novel in which water is a controllable resource. Everyone wants it, and they aren't afraid to start wars to get it. I enjoyed the book, but I wasn't a fan of how much the characters jumped from one team to another in terms of who they should partner with to get water and get back home.

Stacie Vetsch #8 Theories of Relativity by Barbara Haworth-Attard]
Theories of Relativity by Barbara Haworth-Attard

A look at a homeless teenager who has a lot on his plate and is trying to find his place in the world. He's trying to figure out who he can and can't trust and who can help him get out of the situation he's in. A great book about finding yourself.

Stacie Vetsch #9 How to Save a Life by Sara Zarr
How to Save a Life by Sara Zarr

A girl lost her dad and now her mother wants to adopt a baby to replace him. Another teenager is pregnant and wants to give her baby to a good home because she never had one. Both of these girls have interesting back stories, and the way in which the story works out is one that wasn't quite expected. Another great read!

Stacie Vetsch #10 White Cat by Holly Black
White Cat (Curse Workers, #1) by Holly Black

First audiobook of the year, and I would say it was a good one! The story line is so messed up in this one. I couldn't imagine finding out I'm not who my family says I am. I couldn't imagine having someone betray you for most of your childhood and then learn to trust them again. It was captivating and I wish I could have listened to it longer and finished faster. Can't wait to pick up book 2 and find out where everything is headed.

Stacie Vetsch #11 Fixing Delilah by Sarah Ockler
Fixing Delilah by Sarah Ockler

Interesting read, not what I was expecting based upon the title, but I think I see how they fit together. Basically a story about finding yourself and finding out who your family is as well.

Stacie Vetsch #12 New Girl by Paige Harbison
New Girl by Paige Harbison

A mysterious, suspenseful high school love story. Well, it wasn't entirely focused on love, but rather the mystery surrounding a missing girl. A girl that our main character looks like, is staying in her old bedroom, and likes her old boyfriends. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Stacie Vetsch #13 If I Die Young by Talia Jager
If I Die Young by Talia Jager

I picked this book up on my kindle to get more entries into a contest. I had never heard of it before, but I'm glad I read it! It was a heartbreaking, emotional book with such a great ending!

Stacie Vetsch #14 The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #1) by Michelle Hodkin

Best book of the year so far. Mysterious, suspenseful, romantic, and everything in between. I enjoyed this novel so much and I can't wait to read the second in the series!

Stacie Vetsch #15 Firelight by Sophie Jordan
Firelight (Firelight, #1) by Sophie Jordan

This is the first book I've ever read that had to do with dragons. It was an interesting read that focused on dragons/half-humans who were being hunted. Then, an unbelievable love story ensued that made trouble for everyone involved. A cute and fun story with some exciting and memorable moments. I definitely enjoyed it and will read the next book in the series.

Stacie Vetsch #16 One for the Money by Janet Evanovich
One for the Money (Stephanie Plum, #1) by Janet Evanovich

What a fun book! This was a nice change-up from the YA novels I've been reading. This book was on my shelf for a while and since the movie is coming out I decided I should read it. I wasn't disappointed. It was one of those fun reads without a lot of depth that still kept you entertained and on edge to find out what would happen in the plot line.

Stacie Vetsch #17 Dark Lover by J.R. Ward
Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward

Interesting book, not quite what I expected. There was definitely less sexual excursions than I thought there would be, which wasn't a bad thing! There was more of a plot than I expected and the story seemed to have a focus. I enjoyed it!

Stacie Vetsch #18 #1 Last Chance by Norah McClintock
#1 Last Chance

Received this book from netGalley. It was pretty good. I don't know why I expected something different, but I love a story that involves animals :) even if they aren't heavily involved!

Stacie Vetsch #19 Across the Universe by Beth Revis
Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) by Beth Revis

Why did this sit on my shelf for so long? Pure awesomeness. I can't wait to read the next in the series!

Stacie Vetsch #20 Starters by Lissa Price
Starters (Starters, #1) by Lissa Price

This book had so much potential! I enjoyed reading it, but I'm hoping that the next book in the series gives us a little more background information. It isn't necessary to the story, but it would be nice to know!

Stacie Vetsch #21 Jennifer's Body by Audrey Nixon
Jennifer's Body by Audrey Nixon

Creepy book. Really short and easy read. Even though this is probably meant for more of the middle grade reader, it was seriously creepy. If I read this as a kid I don't think I would have ever been able to sleep. Personally, I wouldn't have picked this book up, but it was thrown in a grab box for me and I thought why not give it a shot. It wasn't bad, but it just wasn't my type of book. I'm not into the creepiness!

I'm not much into creepy these days, either. Although sometimes "creepy" is oddly fascinating.
