Well well well, glad you decided to join in for our first ever book club read! And with a book like this, it won't be boring! So. Have you started yet?

Just one rule please, if you're going to post a spoiler, please be very clear about it and tell us what page you're on so we'll know to read/skip it ;D

I read this one awhile ago might have to refresh but they were all so good another read or listen couldn't hurt!! :)

I know right? I don't let myself read Mockingjay - I don't want it to end and I definitely don't want any "disappointment" as everyone keeps saying. But the first two...could read them over and over!

Love this trilogy so much....can't wait for the movie. Looks like it might do it justice. Can't wait to discuss :D

Almost hate to say it but --- the first two stand so well that you are actually smart. Definitely a tough trilogy to end....wasnt a huge fan of the third....

I read it over Christmas and loved it.

i really love to read the book... but sadly there's no more available copy on the bookstore... :( I'm only looking forward in watching the film... :)))

Everyone's looking forward! I think the movie will not disappoint us. So far, the trailers did some justice.. fingers crossed.

I've heard a lot of good things about this book so I'll definitely be reading it at some point, but I'm a bit busy at the moment so I'm not sure if I'll be able to read it this month!!!

But I'll try!!!

I am going to be starting this one soon to read with everyone! I am excited!

I do wan to know the ending! I think after all the excitement from our reading this together, I won't be able to stop myself! But I want to wait until a week before the movie comes out

Even if you don't have an ereader....you could use the free apps for iBooks or kindle and download the ebook. It's available and less than $5.00. At least it was this morning when I was on both sites......maybe that's an option for ya...

I can't wait for the movie. I saw a preview today, and the movie looks pretty true to the book. As for Mockingjay, I wasn't a fan of the slooooowwwww start, but I will say I was *not* disappointed in the end. I'm not one to pick apart a book too much and will take it at face value...some people analyze and read a lot of meanings into an author's writing...but I read for entertainment. I thought it ended fairly well. I think you *have* to read it in order to form your own opinion!!!

I am totally in awe of the movie trailer...but the book...I'll see. Hundreds bookivores can't lie and my feelings for Katniss go deep. I do not on any account want to ruin it with her (and Gale and Peeta)

I'm in but m a very slow reader so the book will take more than a month for me to finish probably

I've read the 1º and the 2º book already and even though I've seen some not so good critique about the 3º book, I'll not let this get me scared. Being the last book it has all the extra pressure and I don't want to put any more pressure on it. I'll only ask for a conclusion and let everything else fall into places. But I can say I'll miss Kat, Peeta ,, ohhh,,,

I am on page 75 so far and am enjoying it very much. I don't think the writing itself is the cleanest but the story draws you in very quickly. I love post apoc stories and this is an interesting new twist, can't wait to see what happens in the games itself. Also, this is the first time participating in an online book discussion, should be interesting to see how it goes.

The part that took place during the games was the best for me! :)

When I was reading HG I sucked at reviewing :P SO my review for HG sucked, but oh well, I love the series! Haven't read Mockingjay though.

I'm exactly the same! Didn't even know about the world of book reviewing then. And haven't read Mockingjay lol

Wait...there's hope for us...on the review front....lol.

As for the books...the tension point for each of the books is so different. Individual survival is certainly a plot driver for HG....and it is a grabbing one!

You start to get faster too. It used to take me hours to come up with an acceptable review!
