Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments Joined a little late so I'm adding the first 4 -

1. Red Mist
2. Blood Test
3. Over The Edge
4. Silent Partner

I'm a sucker for series and hooked on the Kellerman books now.

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 5. Miles

As a big fan of jazz music and Miles Davis albums in particular, I really enjoyed this book. His thoughts on particular albums that I previously hadn't heard or enjoyed turned me on to some great new music. Very interesting read.

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 6. Kill Alex Cross by James Patterson.

Enjoyed this one more than I expected to. I am slightly OCD when it comes to reading series, so I always try to read new ones when they come out, just because I've read the rest. But I enjoyed this one. A quick, fun read like Patterson novels tend to be (for me, anyway). Look forward to another Alex Cross story in the future!

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 7. Time Bomb by Jonathan Kellerman.

Another in the "Alex Delaware" series, though I thought this one got a little too far fetched. Still enjoyable, but a little bit out there.

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 8. Private Eyes by Jonathan Kellerman

Again, I enjoyed it. I don't find the Kellerman novels to be the most compelling books I've ever read, of course, but they are enjoyable and always have a "twist" or two that attempt to throw me off. They are quite enjoyable. Not sure how the remaining 19 will go but I'll keep reading them.

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 9. The Drop by Michael Connelly.

Loved this book! Living in Southern California myself, I always really enjoy the Harry Bosch novels. Connelly is my favorite current writer. Now I just can't wait for the next of his "Lincoln Lawyer" novels.

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 10. Devil's Waltz by Jonathan Kellerman.

Didn't see where this one was going. Still having a hard time adapting to these stories from the 80's (payphones, etc.) but they're always a kick.

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 11. Carte Blanche by Jeffery Deaver. Big fan of Deaver's work; enjoyed his take on the 007 character. Hope he does another one.

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 12. Bad Love by Jonathan Kellerman - another fun Delaware story. Starting to move towards more modern times with them (since I started reading them about 25 years late) - still enjoying each one.

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 19. Survival Of The Fittest by Jonathan Kellerman. Still loving the Alex Delaware series.

message 14: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 20. The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Wasn't too sure about this one when I started but I really enjoyed it. Very different from anything I've read in recent years.

message 15: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 21. Monster by Jonathan Kellerman. Maybe my favorite Alex Delaware book so far. Really enjoyed this one - a little darker than most so far.

message 16: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 22. The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. FINALLY getting around to reading the Tolkien works. Really enjoyed this one; of course it's the only one that I haven't watched in a movie format already. Looking forward to reading "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy soon.

message 17: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 23. The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien. Never read the books. Seen the movies a lot but of course I like the books better (so far). Ready to read the next one!

message 18: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 24. The Way of Aikido by George Leonard. Loved this book! Very interesting philosophy and entertaining stories.

message 19: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 25. The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien. 3/4 finished with my "finally reading Tolkien" project.

message 20: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 26. XO by Jeffery Deaver. The Lincoln Rhyme books are his most famous but I really enjoy the Kathryn Dance series (this being the 3rd). Great story.

message 21: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 27. Dr. Death by Jonathan Kellerman. Pretty entertaining as usual.

message 22: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 28. The Return of the Kingby J.R.R. Tolkien. After all these years, finally finished the Tolkien books. Having only ever seen the movies, really enjoyed the extra segment of the story that didn't make it into the movie.

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 29. Flesh And Bloodby Jonathan Kellerman. Still working on the Alex Delaware series.

message 24: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 30. The Murder Book by Jonathan Kellerman. And it goes on... liked the change of viewpoints in this one where it includes the viewpoint of another character (Milo) here and there.

message 25: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 31. A Cold Heart by Jonathan Kellerman. Another change with the point of view of a couple other characters in this one. Interesting as usual.

message 26: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 32. Creole Belle by James Lee Burke. I've read all the Robicheaux novels by Burke and always enjoy them, but I think he started to slip with this one. I guess at some point the story has to get a little unrealistic. How many crazy things can happen to these guys?

message 27: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 33. Therapy by Jonathan Kellerman. Another fun Delaware novel by Kellerman.

I don't think I'll make 50! Better get to reading more.

message 28: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 34. I, Michael Bennett by James Patterson. I think the Michael Bennett books are getting to be better than the Alex Cross books. Pretty entertaining and a real page turner.

message 29: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 35. Calico Joe by John Grisham. I really enjoyed this one; it's pretty short, but I found the story really fascinating as a lifelong baseball fan. Highly recommend this.

message 30: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 36. Zoo by James Patterson. I usually enjoy Patterson's books, but this one is a little out there and jumbled. I agree with some other reviews I read of it; it seems like at the end he just decided to be done and wrapped it up in a hurry. Not sure I would recommend this one.

message 31: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 37. The Bone Bed by Patricia Cornwell. Thought this one was pretty good. I've read and (mostly) enjoyed all the Scarpetta novels over the years.

message 32: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 38. Rage by Jonathan Kellerman. Another crossed off the "to read by Kellerman" list.

message 33: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 39. Gone by Jonathan Kellerman. And the Delaware books just keep on going. And going...

message 34: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 40. Obsession by Jonathan Kellerman. Getting near the end of the Delaware series now.

message 35: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 41. Compulsion by Jonathan Kellerman. Any luck and I can finish the Kellerman books and the 50 challenge this month, 2 birds with one stone.

message 36: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 42. Bones - another fun Kellerman read, but alas I think I'll fall short. I need to read 8 books in the next 19 days and I'm not seeing it. Sure has been fun to try.

message 37: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 43. Evidence by Jonathan Kellerman. Not sure if I will make it to 50 this year but I might finish Kellerman's Alex Delaware series, at least.

message 38: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 44. Maximum Bob by Elmore Leonard. Haven't read an Elmore Leonard book in ages. This one was entertaining, it had my laughing out loud a couple times. Good story.

message 39: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 45. Glitz by Elmore Leonard another fun Leonard read. Back to some Alex Delaware novels now.

message 40: by Tim (new)

Tim (tim_hi) | 258 comments 46. Deception by Kellerman. Only a couple Alex Delaware books to go. Outside shot at making it to 50 in 2012 but I'm not too confident!
