Tasha I just got my book in the mail today, so I am not yet ready to start posting opinions, but I thought we should get a thread going.

Tasha I just finished the book. Overall I liked it, though I was irked by a few parts. I try to keep in mind that this book is a product of the times in which Heinlein lived.
I was intrigued by the culture and dialect of Luna. It added depth to the story, and made some of the summary parts a bit less boring.
I also really liked Mike. Although I wonder what his motivation was for helping in the revolution.

Ericleaf | 1 comments First, This is one of my favorite Heinlein books. Keeping in mind that he does tend to be pretty chauvinistic, and is a product of his times.

I found the culture and dialects he created for the Loonies very interesting as well.

I recommend the future history books as your next read if you're continuing Heinlein. It takes place in the same "universe" as this book, but along differing time lines. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Future_H...

@Tasha - I assumed that Mike's motivations were similar to any child, in that he wanted to help his friend.

James Molony | 1 comments I reas this several months ago and found it to be very engaging. I also listened to it as an audi book and the narrator voiced the lunies with a russian accent which may have been what Heinlan's intent was.

message 7: by Julie (new) - added it

Julie T. (polarcubby) I really want to read this one!

Clyde (wishamc) A classic. I have read it several times over the years.
