If all goes well.../AHEM, Phil's gonna be a grandpa!

Not sure if I like "Gramphil." Sounds a lot like "landfill." :)
You're already older than the brontosaurus dung on the bottom of Piltdown Man's feet. Deal with it.

Not nearly as old as Clark, though. :)

I say embrace your inner "grandpa" and enjoy the ride!

Amen, brother and congratulations.

On a good morning, I don't feel a day over 60. But I'm coming back for another year of softball.

I think that I am hanging the cleats up this year.

Congrats!"
Agree! My friend says that grandkids are our reward for not killing our kids when they were teenagers. I think grandkids are our chance to have the patience to really love our kids again. p.s. my grandson's name is Charlie after my dad. Good strong name :)

My daughter and her husband have already said they will name the child Lucas (boy) or Skye (girl). Apparently they've been thinking about this for some time.

Oh, I should have put that in the "my procedure" thread.

Star Wars geeks?

SIL wanted Vincent for a boy, but decided to use that as the middle name because when he mentioned it to people they all defaulted to saying "Vinnie."
I told him it was a good idea to change. Their last name begins with a "D" and who wants to grow up with the initials "VD?"

I don't know about you, but once I have my grand-young'uns I won't be jumping into a pile of leaves. Damned if I won't break something.

OMG how did I miss this! Congratulations Phil. You look way too young to be a grandpa.

She's very happy to be a grandma.

She's very h..."
Awwwwwwwwwww!

Hooray!

Me too. Jealous.
Fortunately the boys next door (ages 3,5,7 and 9) are my substitute grandchildren. Those two little ones came over at 7 a.m. and asked to see Dr. Cynthia's office. Exhausting, really. But so cute with their summer buzz cuts and dirty knees.
My daughter told us tonight she's 4-6 weeks in. At this point she's only telling us and her in-laws because you never know what might happen. I already gave her a diaper genie and a baby monitor. Too soon? :)
