If the location doesn't matter and you're interested in medieval historical romance, I would highly recommend Carmen Caine's series. VERY clean but so well written! She is one of my favorites! ;o) I'd also recommend Amanda Forester's novels, they're clean as well. ;o)
Suzan Tisdale

It's clean and available as a printed copy and an e-book.

Thank you for reading my books, Kathy! :-) I've heard Lynn Kurland recommended as a clean medieval romance author. I've only read a couple of her books, but they were clean. I'm sure some of her titles are listed on our group bookshelf. Any of the ones listed there should be safe to read.

Gwyneth and the Thief by Margaret Moore
Tess and the Highlander by May McGoldrick
The Healer's Apprentice by Melanie Dickerson (has religious themes)
The Merchant's Daughter by Melanie Dickerson (has religious themes)
Wildwing by Emily Whitman (time travel story from early 1900s England to Medieval England)
Silver Rose by Jill Eckersley

Daughter of the Sorcerer King
(has knights fighting dragons theme)
Premise:
Samara is furious when her father, the Sorcerer King, advocates a boy from a foreign kingdom as his successor simply because three witches foretold the event. Then the king asks her to escort the child safely back to his realm. If that were not bad enough, as if Samara were incapable of discharging the distasteful duty, he insists a knight accompany them on the journey home. But when a grieving dragon steals the child, Samara is afraid her father will never forgive her this mistake, or worse, think she had intended the boy harm. Desperate to rescue her charge, she turns to her too-amorous knight-escort for help.

"Well written and filled with vivid details, this is a tale of a woman's journey toward her destiny-despite that destiny having taken an unexpected twist."
And a second fantasy short story romance (also clean) coming up in May 2012 called:
The Misspelled Charm
(about a witch in a village where magic is frowned upon).
I do have another short story - Baron of Dragon's Reach, (with no dragons in it, lol, despite the title) that also has a medieval setting (with an arranged marriage premise). However, there's a very short piece (one paragraph, 26 words :) where the heroine loses her virginity before marriage.
I put it in the story because the scene was pivotal to the plot, since the rest of the tale is about what happens when she tries to make up for that one, possibly fatal, mistake.
All that said, that paragraph's presence makes Baron inappropriate for this group.
Shereen

I recently released my new medieval time travel, Dreamspell, on Amazon Kindle. It's a return to the medieval setting of my first books for Bantam, but it's a clean read like my more recent inspirationals for RandomHouse. Faith is touched upon, but only where it applies to life in the middle ages.

Set in 15th century Portugal, it is a novelette of approximately 9500 words (about 30 pages) long and should take less than an hour to read. Good measure of whether you would like the full-length novel.

I also LOVE Marcia Lynn Mcclure! All her books are amazing! Sometimes I can't pick a favorite, they are all so good! I have been having trouble finding other authors like her. Any suggestions?
