I've read book 1, 2 & 2.5 & I will say that I'm a little surprised by the selected actors but they are all so amazing so I'm sure they will bring this creepy southern tale to life.

My thoughts:
Jack O'Connell is so "Cook" to me that it's going to be hard to see him as a teen from the South. But he proved that he can act on Skins and he definitely has the Ethan look so I'm happy with this choice.

I don't know anything about Alice Englert but she definitely looks like Lena.

Jeremy Irons and Viola Davis are perfect for Macon and Amma. Very excited about this!

Not sure how I feel about Emma Thompson as Sarafine. She's a great actress but...I don't know...wouldn't have chosen her.
