Gregory Rothbard (polycarp55) Gregory Rothbard (Polycarp55) | 96 comments I noticed that Stephen King often quotes the modern Library books that we have read. If he does not quote them he references them. So reading in this club and reading Stephen King at the same time is quite a blast. I am reading The Wasteland the third book in the Dark Tower series and found a mention of The Bridge of the San Louis Rey. pg 90 in the book. Wowzer. Would it be cool to cite the references to books in this club cited in other books? Maybe make it a subject separate from regular discussion. It fascinates me. I don't want this limited to Stephen King but want to open it to any book that cites or quotes a modern library book.

Gregory Rothbard (polycarp55) Here are a few King draws from in the Dark Tower III - The Wastelands. Lord of the Flies, Watership Down, and Lord of the Rings. I think it is interesting to see how these books on this list have influenced other writers to dig deeper into the fabric of literature.
