There is one book which I read when I was young and have read a couple of times since (it's a rarity for me to re-read a book at the best of times but to it re-read it many times shows how good the book is!). This book is:

Vulpes the Red Fox and The Furperson are two classic favorites I would still enjoy to read today.

I read it in class when I was about 10 or 11 and I re-read it every two or three years! Still makes me cry, love it!!

53 Things only 80s Girls Can Understand"
Oh yeah!
Although, Cotton Candy would not have lived in Paradise Estate. That home came later. She would have been chilling in Dream Castle. :)

So...thinking about parting with them. Don't know! Sigh...

my cousin gave me her entire Nancy Drew book collection that she had. I still have them to his day. The Hardy a boys I used to watch the T.V show never read the books.

did you try time travel on listopia?

Astarte still rules in The City of the Mirage (BtGN)

I read the Narnia books way back then, and I still love them. I think I've read them a few times. I would still pick them up today and enjoy the stories.

Wayne,
My Mom us read aloud Watership Down. I am now 49 and have reread it at least 10 times. It is one of those books that had two plots. One for children and another for adults.

My sister had the original series minus maybe 2. She lived with my Dad who had no tv, computers
nonexistent. So whenever I did not have a book to read, I would reread and reread the series. After lots of research, she found even pristine copies like hers were not really worth anything. Sellers wanted first editions. She gave them to our niece.

There are 2 challenges. USA challenge where you must read a mystery, suspense novel based in every US State. It took me two years to finish that challenge. The 2nd challenge is where you do the same thing but with the original UN Countries. Many of us in the challenge expanded it to Countries of the World. It is great fun.

I have recently started blogging and am absolutely loving it. I am open to all kinds of books but refrain from too much violence or horror

That's a really awesome idea Misty, and a great way to support indie writers!

Hey guys, so the way I set up my first survey was not that great for actually crunching numbers (this is why english majors would make horrid statisticians), so if you would take this 3 question survey it would be incredibly appreciated!

I just finished

I read classics like Sherlock Holmes or The Count of Monte Cristo when I was a kid and loved them. They were firmly set in a specific era so the language and style never dates on a re-read. With other books I find my tastes have changed, when I was pretty young (13 - 17) I was right into fantasy and now don't read it often at all. (Bar a few GoT books)

You make an excellent point though regarding classic books like Sherlock Holmes etc. Dracula is one I can re-read multiple times and it never ceases to entertain.

It's about a girl who is blind and falls for a man just hearing his voice. Then happens the marriage and she gets pregnant. One day she walks in his office and listen that he just wed for pity, and then she falls of the stairs...
I got interessed in the story and don't know the book ;(

Never heard of it but it sounds interesting. I even tried to google it and nothing came up. Let me know if you ever find out so I can add it to my list!

Is there a day in the week when you nearly always buy your books?
For instance, is it a Monday because the working week stretches ahead and you feel the need for a pick-me-up?
Or a Sunday, when there's time to sit and read?
I used to think I always bought on a Saturday but I've realized I buy on all days.
