21st Century Ghosts - Joe Hill discussion

Hi all,
So, as we all know, Joe doesn't have a whole lot of books out yet. So in the interest of keeping this group active, we'll have to branch out a little.

Feel free to nominate suggestions for the themes to base the group read around.

How about books by one of his relatives, since they all write?

How about....

Stuff that we'd like to see Joe write. I'll use the example of Road Rage: Two Novellas, where he wrote "Throttle" (with his father) as a tribute/sequel to the Richard Matheson story "Duel".

So maybe another established universe where Joe gives his personal touch, as we'd like to see it.

Man, that must be intimidating. Dad is arguably the most successful writer of all time, brother is critically acclaimed and building his own fan base. Huge shadow to step out from under!

Laurel, just to be clear, "Throttle" was written by Hill & King, but my theme idea is geared to selecting something from a universe we'd like to see Hill write in. Say in our fantasy world we would like to see Hill write a Dragonlance book, for example.

Joe was actually published before Owen... but I don't really get the feeling that they see it as a competition, even with Papa King. Joe's style is VASTLY different from Stephen's, and I believe Owen's is different again.

I think the whole family (but one) being published authors would be more encouraging than daunting.
