If I'm feeling peppy, maybe tomorrow after work otherwise more likely Friday. I found out that I can indeed transport an actual bookcase [it's one of those screw-it-together-yourself wood ones from WalMart] balanced on ye ol' Huffy and I kinda want to get a second one. I replaced one of the plastic shelving units in the bedroom with a real wood one and it looks sooooo awesome. I need to balance that wall with a second real bookcase. Bookshelves that don't sag in the middle from all the books...my first real bookshelves evah. I might need more books... :D
I've only read about the first chapter and it is interesting... I've just been really busy with work and haven't had much chance to read. :(

B&N is supposed to call me to let me know when it's come in but I'm willing to guess that my copy is sitting on their hold shelf right now. Wouldn't be the first time.

I will probably officially start it Saturday since that's my day off and it looks like a short read once I actually sit down to it. :)

My first thought on the whole ascetic, living in the woods on virtually nothing...sounds like the majority of college students in their first apartments. You can afford food or shelter but not both at the same time.
My other thought was that Chopra is releasing a similar book about Jesus and I couldn't help but think that Buddhists are pretty laid back and would be pressed to find something to complain about in Chopra's version [since complaining is a rather pointless habit]. But how does one who is better known for having a very catholic [that's the old meaning of the word] view of religion and spirituality going to be received by the more crazy-ass factions of Christianity? Especially if the story veers into those 20 missing years which mysteriously don't exist in the official cannon. One wrong word and some nutbar like Pat Robertson will unload his adult diapers live on tv, especially since it's written by someone who is somewhat better known in New Age and the like circles.
And in the same irreverent vein, when's the book about Muhammad coming out? <.< >.>
