underland gossip (gregor the overlander) discussion

How did you guy's think of book one of the Underland chronichles? I thought it was a pretty good start but at times it was boring.

I moved a bit slow at some parts but over all it was good leaving me wanting more

escpecially the end with Henery... really surprising!

I love that one. Not the best, I love how Ares and Gregor become bonds, that was my favorite part! This book was very surprising, when first read it left you saying "Oh wow!" and "What if!".

I like the first allot, my second fave.

It was very surpriing at many points.

Ripred wasn't in a lot of it so it was mostly boring. And a lot of time is spent on gathering everyone.

I agree. I am teaching this book to my 6th grade class. Great way to start explaining The Heroic Journey, but I agree that it feels like 2/3 of the book was the exposition.
