Buttons
They probably won't even notice. I wore the 99 cent cookie button and my co-workers/managers didn't even know that the bakery had those buttons, so I will just tell them that the Natural Living Department gave me this one.

There's a lot of funny buttons out there.
I wonder how this one would go over at a job? Perfect to wear at Walmart. lol

Wal-Mart is banned from my city. I know it is banned from other cities also. I watched a documentary on Wal-Mart very interesting.

management did not notice my button today. Nobody noticed it unless I pointed it out. Most of my co-workers thought it was funny (only one person said I was going to get myself in trouble) and I said to keep it a secret and not to tell management.
The funny thing is I was in three direct conversations with key management today, twice being with the store director who noticed that my new Sketchers Shape Ups made me taller than him (it's kinda fun to look down on him) but he did not notice my button.
Back in February, one of my co-workers gave me a button that said something about "Kiss Me I'm Old and Harmless" I wore that button for half of my shift but I was getting kissed too much (I am not a touchy feely type of person) so I gave it back.
Time to draw tomorrow's button out of my magic sack...I will be right back.

Today when I showed one of my co-workers my button, he thought it said Honkie instead of Monkey.
To celebrate the success of my Monkey button, I purchased a pint of Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey and ate it all on my walk home.

I very rarely go to Wal-Mart. It's too much trouble to get there since it's in the neighboring towns :-) but I don't like Target either (we do have one of those in Boulder), but I can't take all that red. Two days ago I went with my Dad to Costco, but things there are just a bit overwhelming - everything is so over-sized!
(but I picked up a few books so that made things okay)

I don't like any of those stores, all cheap crappy products that break. It's a waste of money, I'd rather spend a little more for a well made product that will last.
We have a similar store to Costco, called BJ's, but it's more than a half hour away, not worth it to me.
I agree with all that. In Boulder we like smaller, local stores. I went to Pearl Street Mall on my day off (after Costco) and visited the Art Co-op and Art Mart picked up a few items, it was fun. There's always a nice feeling of being on Pearl Street in Downtown Boulder. I take the bus there so I don't have to worry about parking and it's very peaceful.

Well, nobody noticed my button today except the one co-worker I pointed it out to - this is the same person that thought yesterday's button said "Honkie" instead of "Monkey"
If anyone did notice my button that read "Never Underestimate the Power of Keeping Your Mouth Shut", they didn't say anything to me about it :-)

The button for Monday April 9th will be:
"Those Who Dance Are Thought Crazy By Those Who Can't Hear The Music"
This one doesn't seem too controversial so I shouldn't get in trouble for wearing it :-) I will try to point it out to more people if I can.

Maybe he can't read, lol

Maybe they did notice, but decided to take the button's advice, lol
Today's button was:
"I can only please one person per day. Today I choose me."
I have tomorrow off but let me go to my magic sack and see what the magical button elf has in store for me on Thursday.....

Don has gotten close and he still don't notice. Today's button was the No Drama one. I have started really getting a following on this little game/experiment so that now I am going up to my co-workers and saying "would you like to see my unapproved button for the day?" These are really helping people to laugh :-)

I have to watch out for Captain Kirk too because he's very strict as you know since you have to work with him more than I do :-)

I have Saturday off, but on Sunday I will be wearing a button that says:
IT'S ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE
MINUS THE PARADISE

Post them :-) Here or there, I don't care :-)

my fav is the "The beatings will continue until morale improves."
one of my coworkers has one that reads...
I have multiple personalities and NONE of them like you.
I had a t-shirt that seemed to confuse some people.
5 out of 4 people have problems with fractions.

It's a factory, we don't deal with the public, just each other so as long as it's not overwhelmingly profane or indecent no one cares.
That could be nice :-) I guess it was kind of like that when I worked at the post office encoding center. Since we just sat and stared at a computer screen all day, we could wear casual clothes.

"He's dead Jim. You get his wallet I'll get his Tricorder."

You need to be beaten about the head and shoulders!! OMG the sacrilege!! Tricorder

I agree!
Tomorrow I am going to start wearing a different un-approved button each day and see what reaction, if any I get. This may be a short-lived game depending on management's reaction. There are some buttons I still should buy at some point like one that said
"If I'm not fired yet, then can I have the day off?"
The button I will start with on Saturday 4/7 will be:
"A Monkey Could Do My Job, But He'd Want Better Pay"
