:) I got the idea from another group I'm in (Into the Forest). It has a 12 month long fairy tale challenge that is similar. You have to read one book from each of 12 categories. This is a shorter version. It seemed fun. :)
My Progress:
I read Awake at Dawn
, which takes place at a summer camp. I'm calling it reader's choice category.
I read Awake at Dawn

I read Born in Icewhich takes place in Ireland a place that I have always wanted to visit.
I also really liked the book.
And I also read Sailfor a vacation mystery. It is classified as a mystery but it wasn't very mysterious since about 1/4 of the way through you actually start seeing things from the bad guys prospective. I'm not usually a fan of James Patterson but I did enjoy this book even though it was a bit predictable.

my summer romance book is
I just finished it. It would have made a good beach book or other lazy day read.

My second book is
Oh my goodness, it made me want to visit Greece. Part of it took place on this little island, and it sounds so beautiful. :)

I'm finished! My books:
1] Reader's choice -
(Takes place at a summer camp)
2] Summer Romance -
(Included two separate romances involving two of the main characters)
3] A book that takes place somewhere you wish to visit -
(Primarily in New York City, but also Texas, and various places around the world as well)
1] Reader's choice -

2] Summer Romance -

3] A book that takes place somewhere you wish to visit -

I enjoyed it. At first some of the characters seemed a little underdeveloped, like they all have one characteristic that dominates their personality, but the characters continued to develop as the book went on. I think it was probably intentional. I definitely plan to read the sequels.

1) A book that takes place at sea--

2) A book involving mermaids--

3) Reader's Choice--
