REALLY???
I wanted to read them so badly, I even saw them in the bookstore, but now I SAW A ONE STAR REVIEW, I THOUGHT ABOUT CHANGING MY MIND.

message 22: by Kayleigh {K-Books} (last edited May 05, 2012 03:26AM) (new)

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) Reviews never change my mind. Not everyone likes the same books and seriously you saw a one star review and now you don't wanna read it? That's just stupid. Some people who hated some books I loved.

I wouldn't recommend it for anyone under 18 though coz it's erotica

message 23: by Lola (new)

Lola (lolasreviews) I agree with Kay, fifty shades is erotica and I would't recommend it for anyone under 18. Although if you have serious problems with BDSM or dominant-submissive relationships don't read it. I think many people read while not knowing where the book is about and therefore end up not liking it.

When reading it I didn't link it to twillight, I only found out after reading the first 2 books that it started as a twillight fanfic, if you know it you probably will see some similarities.

I've heard great things about Fifty Shades of Gray, and although it's about BDSM I still really wanted to read it :P Although, I am still...*sigh* under 18.

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) Yea I am getting the 3 of them for my birthday next saturday from my mum and I'm looking forward to reading them. Mainly because Christian is supposedly messed up in the head and I'm like 'hmm let's psychoanalyse him' lol

Natshane | 5296 comments Mod
hehehe....I like the name "Christian" actually and that makes me want to read it even more, plus I adore the cover, sometimes I wish YA covers could be that plain yet equally attractive.

message 30: by Lola (new)

Lola (lolasreviews) I think fifty shades also has a great story and character development. It's not only about the sex, but it does play a huge part. And the first book can be a bit shocking for some people, but the second book is less BDSM and more "normal". I still have to read the third book though, I think the second book had a great ending.

Just a curious question, does BDSM actually happen in real life?

Anyway, I have no problems with that and I would very much love to read the series. Nothing more but a great romance!

message 32: by Lola (new)

Lola (lolasreviews) yes, BDSM does actually happen in real life.

And indeed fifty shades has a great romance. You should just try and read it and see if you like it.

I most definitely will:) Anything with great romance, lol.

One of the most intense book I've ever read was Beg for Mercy (Trilogy, #1) by Jami Alden , that was definitely not YA but it's so thrilling. I love the "mystery" aspect of the story and also the way the author narrate the story. It was one of the books which gave me goosebumps.

message 34: by Joeera (new)

Joeera read

Circle of Fire (Prophecy of the Sisters, #3) by Michelle Zink and now reading

Abandon (Abandon Trilogy, #1) by Meg Cabot
