B&N Nook Color & Tablet Users discussion

So, the news hit today that Microsoft made a deal with B&N. What do you think? Nook may have a windows8(metro) format in the future...

Not sure what to think. Microsoft's track record with improving things like this is not good.

Seriously? Are they looking to "revamp" the entire UI? Or are they going to leave most of it alone? I really like the current NOOK Tablet UI, which is why I haven't allowed my husband anywhere near my Tablet to "redo" it. If they completely change the UI/layout etc, I'm going to be pretty peeved personally.

I'm not sure, plans are not out yet. Maybe win8 tablets being able to have BN reader or something. Maybe in addition to android, just an option for windows phone, microsofties, etc.

That's an interesting piece of news. I've been wondering to update from NC to NT but then figured on waiting til next year since the upgrade would be slight.

I wonder about the windows tablets. Those UIs have gotten better but it needs to get more lightweight. Not to mention the effort to convert an ecosystem from one platform to another will be mayhem.

Windows 8 is looking fabulous!! Only time will tell
