Christopher (cbb4autigers) | 96 comments I know that the overlords want me to read Hyperion, and I am [I am V, I promise!]. But, I got Throne of the Crescent Moon on my Kindle to read at work on my break. I am really digging it. Is anyone else reading it? What do you think?

Read it a while back. It's not bad for a first book. I like the setting. Pacing seemed a bit clunky though.

Christopher (cbb4autigers) | 96 comments I totally agree...interesting setting...and just the right style for a lunch break read. Not far enough to judge the pacing yet. But that is not uncommon for a first book. [he says like HE has any experience writing a first book].

Aloha | 919 comments I have the book now. I'll be interested in whether you like this or Hyperion more once you've read Hyperion.

Dana (rhysiana) | 8 comments I reading Throne now too! I read Hyperion several years ago, and I have to say, I like this better. (Not that they are remotely similar.) I would kind of like a house with transdimensional portals for all the doorways, though. That's really the only good thing I remember taking from Hyperion. Now back to reading...

Christopher (cbb4autigers) | 96 comments I have to admit that I am much more inclined to Fantasy versus Sci Fi. So i suppose that I am more inclined to like this book. I really enjoyed it and thought it was a great effort for a first novel. I like the setting and cultural take on the genre tropes. Highly Entertaining and looking forward to the next one!

Random (rand0m1s) I picked it up the other day for a different group read. Meant to glance at the book to confirm the transfer went ok, and next thing I knew I'd finished the first chapter. It does seem to want to suck you in. :)
