Incredibly refreshing! An acquaintance just directed me over here from Book Pimps -oops!- I mean Book Blogs. Over there, you ask a question, 50-odd people answer it by saying, "Buy my book!" You make a statement to try to start a discussion, 50 more people say, "Buy my book!" I've been here for over 12 hours now, have joined two groups and acquired a couple of friends, and no one has yet tried to sell me anything.
Just a long-winded way to say that I'm fully on board with your guidelines. If anyone wants to see how bad it can be, I invite them to sign up with Book Blogs, and see what happens the first time you log in!
