Here's a poem of mine entitled "Summertime", Enjoy!

A merry-go round, A mulberry bush
The roses in bloom need not a push
All flow gracefully all in due time
All in their own right their own rhythmic chime

What makes them so
What makes them go
What makes them grow
What makes them show

Ice cream on a cone, orange sherbert
Lick until brain freeze, oh why must it hurt!
The taste makes up for the cold pain
But would it still if the ice cream were plain?

What gives its flavor
Is only in it’s nature
What gives its favor
Is only why we savor

The waves coming in, the setting sun
Sunrise in the a.m, the days just begun
The waters just right as are the rays
It would be perfect if it just stays

What makes the blue and yellow
What makes the sun say hello
What makes the sun a good fellow
What makes such a sight so mellow

Take it all in and enjoy all its worth
This is what we call beautiful on this place we call earth
Just so amazing it should be a crime
This is the season, this is summertime

All rhythmic chime
No more pains
Just water and rays
This is summertime
