I've never read anything by Le Carre and this sounds very good. I've added it to my TBR and reserves from the library. I recommend Red River by Lalita Tademy. It's a great blend of an historical event mixed with her family history and historical fiction. A very profoundly moving book and perfectly times to read with the upcoming inauguration.

I'm torn about reading The Four Last Things. I really do like suspense/thriller books, but find myself having more and more difficulty reading then if the description of violence and torture is explicit. So, this one is a maybe.I'd recommend On Agate Hill by Lee Smith
