Sarah ♥ dog crazy ♥ (mylheage) description

Forced to his knees in agony whenever he speaks the truth, Gideon can recognize any lie—until he captures Scarlet, a demon-possessed immortal who claims to be his long-lost wife. He doesn’t remember the beautiful female, much less wedding — or bedding — her. But he wants to... almost as much as he wants her.

But Scarlet is keeper of Nightmares, too dangerous to roam free, and a future with her could mean ultimate ruin. Especially as Gideon’s enemies draw closer... and the truth threatens to destroy all he’s come to love...

Goge (BARRONS) le Moning Maniac, | 40 comments THE FIRST BOOK I READ IN THE SERIES AND THANK GOODNESS I DID OR ELSE I WOULD'VE NEVER MET THE LOTU. GIDEON IS MY FAVORITE! AND HIS DEMON IS MY FAVORITE!I LOVE LOVE SCARLET AND HER DEMON. IT WAS SUCH A SHOCK HE WAS A HE. I CRIED AND LAUGHED AND OH I JUST LOVED! I HATED THAT MEMORY BITCH THOUGH BUT IT WAS INTERESTING SINCE SHE WAS IN ATLAS AND NIKE AND I LOVVVVVE THEM! I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH! YOU ALL SHOULD COMMENT ON IT! GIVE IT THE FANS IT DESERVES!

Sarah ♥ dog crazy ♥ (mylheage) Why did you start in the middle of the series, Goge? Wasn't that confusing for you?

Goge (BARRONS) le Moning Maniac, | 40 comments Hi Sarah^_^ No, not too much. It made me want more of the LOTU world, actually. I was off in college and I didn't have transportation to the library and I didn't know there was a digital library I could borrow books from yet so I was just buying ebooks left and right. One day I decided to try out the LOTU books but which one should I start?? I was sure I'd read Lucien's book before but that was in high school and I couldn't remember too much of it and I couldn't remember if I loved it. The first book, Maddox's didn't look too hot (I STILL have not mustered the energy to read it. I checked it out later on but I got bored so I never finished it. It deserves to be read though so I've just checked it out again. Will be rereading it soon.) so I was reading the synopses of the other books and Gideon, Lies, Scarlet, and Nightmares appealed to me the most. A LOT, actually. I bought it and I have no regrets! I think if I'd started out reading Maddox's story I would have lost interest in the whole series..

Sarah ♥ dog crazy ♥ (mylheage) That's interesting.

Well, Maddox' story is not the best. But I think that's kind of normal with the first book of a series. The world and characters have to be introduced and over the course of the series an author feels more comfortable in the world and improves his/her writing skills.

Keely | 6 comments I loved this one. The history between Lies and Nightmares was a very interesting twist. We had a little hint there was some kind of connection... Gideon felt that little twinge while pondering how awesome it would be to house Nightmares in Sabin's book (I believe it was Sabin's book), but I wasn't expecting THAT. Have to agree this is one of the best of the series.

I often find the first book in a new series is my least favorite, but I was totally hooked on this series from book one. Just fell in love with the Lords from the start.

Jade (jadev) | 23 comments I really liked this one. I was impressed by Gena's imagination. Scarlett and Gideon were really fun to read about. There was sth moving about them too.

Nichole Wolfe (nicholew7288) good book overall
