Um... Have you read the Hunger Games + sequels?
oooh! Hunger Games rox! :)
Also, try:
Legend by Marie Lu

Legend by Marie Lu
Uglies by Scott Westerfield is also really good too
I'm not sure if this falls under the action catefory, but have you read - The Mortal Instruments series?

As for The Mortal Instruments series, no I haven't heard about them. What kind of genre are they?
Brenna - I've seen Legend around. Haven't read too many reviews on it yet, but I'll put it on my wishlist! Thanks for the recommendation!
Aley - Never heard of Uglies by Scott Westerfield. I'll look it up!

It's action-y... I read this a while back and from what I remember, there was more action than romance. Although there is some romance in the book.
However, I do know that there is a lot of action in the other books in the series.

Legend, Marie Lu
The Healing Wars series, Janice Hardy
I'll add more later!

The Immortal Rules, Julie Kagawa (if you're OK w/ vamps)
Hereafter, Tara Hudson (GREAT if you're OK w/ ghosties)

Unearthly, by an author who's name I cannot recall

Jay - hmm, that book looks interesting! I like these new dystopian books with hi-tech toys in them! ;-)

Legend and Divergent are fantastic, and I myself usually really avoid books about ghosts or vampires or anything particularly unrealistic, but I found that I enjoyed them.

Oh, and I..."
Corridor by Robin Parrish - FANTASTIC!!!! :D

I hope you love it when you read it! It's one of my favorite books and I'm currently rereading it (which I hardly ever do)... I love it that much! :)
Have you read Nevermore yet?! It is sooo good!

No, I haven't read that one yet Brenna. Does it have good action in it? Suspense?

When I first read the Maximum Ride series, I was in love. Once I was finished, though, I discovered that I couldn't bring myself to pore over them, like I do with my favorite books. I found the plot too repetitive, and now that the newest book is out, I'm hesitant to try it.

They really were good reads. The Immortal Rules went beyond the superficiality of most vampire-based books and gave you a look into the life of a monster who despises what it has become and fights the urge to feed. I thought it was compelling and really interesting. Definitely not Twilight.

Oh, and I'd prefer no swearing in the books, or at least a heads up of how much is in the book.
