My absolute all time favourite series is the In Death series by J.D. Robb. I started with a random title, not realizing it was a series, and have since started at the beginning, with Naked in Death and I'm now up to #13! I'm not re-reading the ones I've read, as there are 34 so far in the series, but when I've finished them all I MIGHT start at the beginning again;)

Michael (knowledgelost) I've not read anything this series, but maybe I should

She is Nora Roberts in her other life;) She amazes me with her totally different styles of writing...

Michael (knowledgelost) I know, I'm surprised how many books she's written

Shelleyrae at Book'd Out | 46 comments I love the series too though I am a few behind now :)

message 6: by Toby (new)

Toby (tfitoby) My absolute favourite thing about Nora Roberts is that she also wrote a "collaboration" with J.D. Robb. This seems schizophrenic in the extreme.

I'm quite a long way behind, but that's ok, I dread finishing them, as they are always there when I feel like picking one up!!

Haha!! Yes, I saw that!

Mark Tremayne | 1 comments The 'in death' series is an awesome one! Unfortunately my library only has a few... So buying them ii s easier! Lol read about half of them so far.

I started them from the library, and love them so much, I'm in the process of buying the whole series, and reading from the beginning...I'm up to #26 now, and reading the ones I hadn't read up until the latest:)

I finished New York to Dallas by J.D. Robb today. Brilliant! I have only two to go until the end of the series, and the new one comes out in March:)

Sharon | 1234 comments I just found this thread and it looks like I've just found another author to add to my list. And I see she has quite a few books which all sound very good :)

Oh Sharon! I love, love, love the In Death series!!! lol I'm hanging out for her new one at the moment, Concealed in Death :)

It's good if you can read them in order too, so if you're able, start with #1 Naked in Death. I actually was able to get the first three in a set from Book Depository too:)

message 14: by Sharon (new)

Sharon | 1234 comments That's good to know I was wondering if you had to start with #1. Although it's probably always better to start any series that way you can keep track of them better. Well that's my opinion :) Thanks.

I actually read a random book somewhere in the series on recommendation from my library lady; completely loved it and read a couple more, still randomly. I then decided I wanted to own the whole lot so began buying them - and also began reading from number 1 as well:) I'm all caught up now, even though I've been reading them slowly so I wouldn't finish them! lol

They are a delight, a pleasure, and I always know I'll enjoy them:)

message 16: by Sharon (new)

Sharon | 1234 comments Well I hope you enjoy her latest one when it comes out. I see that it's out this month so you won't have long to wait :)

In a few days I'll be starting the latest In Death - Apprentice in Death - can't wait!

Has anyone else read it yet? Or about to?

Thanks Brenda. Finished the first book and I absolutely loved it. Already requested the second one from the library, even though I’ve got other books to read 😊
